Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Tuesday Night Mets Club taking this one in from Section 103-- prepping to catch home runs off Ranger Suarez, who has a 7 ERA in 3 games this year.Kodai Senga goes for the Mets.Phils looking to get up after a worse start than us.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Because of the cheaper price, my cousin (lives near Jersey Shore, while I'm in Southern Westchester County NY) and I flew to and back from Houston this past weekend out of Philly. There was a guy in a Met cap on the plane coming home yesterday, and I'm like “you are going to the wrong city if you were planning to be at this week's series!”
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Senga needs to throw strikesSuarez is 1-2 with a 4.01 era over 11 games, four of which were starts, lifetime vs the Mets

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I missed it, but why is there a soccer field in Citi Field ?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 One of the local soccer teams played there whilst the Mets were on the road.I guess maybe Senga needed warmer weather than Chicago to get a feel.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Hitting the ball to Bohm appears to not be as effective an on-base strategy compared to the recent past.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Hey Nick, it's Brandon, Brandon Nimmo, and i just called to say i glove you
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 It's not really fair to Tommy Pham, but I feel like if he made a dive for that doink, Senga might be perfect so far. But after that catch, Senga certainly can't complain about outfielder support.Gotta salute Nimmo going out and making that play after looking at strike three down the middle the previous half inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Not to stereotype, but Brandon Marsh doesn't look like a guy who feels real good about paying taxes.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 He sort of has the batting stance I'd imagine for an anti-government militant, too. All elbows and knees. Like he has a huge, imaginary chip on his shoulder.https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2023/05/screen-shot-2023-05-30-at-8.24.52-pm.png>Strong, healthy butt, though.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Looks like a completely different pitcher from his recent starts.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I'm all for crediting McNeil with a sacrifice there.I'm not sure it should be controversial. His went for a win-win strategy. Just like a sac fly. You're not explicitly trying to make an out, but going for a hit in a manner that embraces the secondary outcome of an out that advances. Give him his credit. People have been laying down bunts forever that way.Carlos Beltran loved that play. Make the sacrifice, but try to get a hit out of it if you can.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Kinda impressed to see Buck letting Escobar escobat here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Even more impressed to see Ecobar get the escobig hit!
