The turning point so far was on the Lindor stolen base. McNeil got called on a dubious swinging strike for strike two by the home-plate ump, without asking for help from third base.



McNeil was controlling the at-bat to that point. Strider was trying to get him to chase and he wasn't biting. But then he went into defensive-swing mode and ended up with that popout.
