Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Nats are getting leadoff batters on base in all sorts of ways tonight (and last night).
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Losing patience, tired and cranky. I'll give 'em another inning.Tomorrow should be a day game. And we all should be invited to a luxurybox by Uncle Steve. He needs to have someone work on this, contact me at kc@kcmets.net people!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Brigham got some testicles
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Brigham high and Brigham hard!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 For the moment, this team is giving me Wilpon-ian Era 82-80 vibes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 I think the Japanese/English translator should come out for all the mound conferences and pitching changes, no matter who is pitching. It'd be a good way to mess with minds.Meanwhile, I get a radio commercial every other break telling me how excited I should be for MLB rule changes.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 We've got three innings to fire bomb this pen so as to not wind up with another turd-burger like last night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Let Butto or Peterson pinch-run here.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Good thing the pitching coach went out for a conference after that first BB
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 I miss pinch-running pitchers, man.Time for Marte to show his quality.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Set up for the top of the lineup and none of them even came close. The dribbler towards 1st was the best contact of the inning.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Well, they burned their flamethrower in the seventh.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Five outs from Harvey on 18 pitches.I think Senga threw that many to the first batter of the game.As AJ Minter closes out the Marlins on 11 pitches.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Very frustrating that my radio feed feels like it's 5-10 minutes behind youse.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 You have 5 to 10 minutes of disappointment to come
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 So Carl Edwards walks the only two batters he faces to start the 7th ... and then no Met batter gets the ball out of the infield for the remainder of the game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 It's tough to feel positive after looking like the worst team in the history of baseball over the last four days, particularly against two of the actual worst teams.Win either of those last two in SF and we'd have been in 1st place. Now it looks like we'll be mathematically eliminated from winning the NLE come Monday.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 Ugh all aroundYou cannot hit that forkball Senga throws but he can't keep bouncing it in
