I didn't sleep last night. Changing seasons really mess with my sleep patterns. But among the thoughts to come to me was the notion that the Mets' starting outfield for this game might be McNeil-Pham-Escobar.

Uncle Floyd is a thread all his own. I used to turn the antenna just right to get channel 68.



It'll be weird rooting against Wilmer, JD Davis and Michael Conforto. On the other hand, it'll be really easy to root against Darin Ruf.

I think Nimmo and McNeil have switched personalities. Suddenly the former is knocking everything around the plate around the ballpark, and the latter has become minutely selective.

you gotta take what they give you - if the book on Nimmo is to make him hit it and the book on McNeil is don't throw strikes, its on them to change that!

I thought Alonso elevated that pitch and it was heading over the bleachers, but it was a topspin drive and only reached the first row.

Damn. at least the Mets left that inning with the lead, but now Senga is likely done and we are digging into the bullpen again.
