I forget if I posted here, but McFadden's, the actual franchise is history!  Done, gone…[insert Monty Python Dead Parrot Sketch run of phrases].

Looks like their Pittsburgh location, by PNC and the football stadium formerly known as Heinz, is the last one standing, no clue why.

But anyway, after being a COVID testing/vaccine triage center, and area where the team would have celebrated had they clinched 2022 postseason series, the former McFadden's space in Citi Field has officially been rebranded as The K Korner.

Hopefully they'll clean the floors more often than they did at McF's.

McFadden's was a wreck, especially since it began as a place with men's room attendants. Is the Wilpon-owned Brewey on the other corner to open?

Good reporting, Rogers.

Brewery taproom was open all season last year.

The Wilponian Brewery is where Mikkeller was?

Do the Wilpons really still own it? Not sure I'd like to give them one

more nickel. If one has time to bar hop before or after the game they'll

do much better stopping in Woodside for a few pops.

Years ago we used to brown bag it on the subway, but nowadays I have

to pee after like every can so...

Yup.  K Korner is just McFadden's redressed, just with the old beer garden/private party lounge completely sealed off now.

Looks like food options are the same as inside the stadium, and not the pub fare that was the same as the rest of the McFadden's franchise.  No clue if the bathroom attendants are still patrolling the restrooms, but it pretty much did not skip a beat in the three years since the last time McFadden's was open.

Makes me wonder if the T7L had a hand in running it as well, since it did seem to retain their type of tourist trappy, crazy fun hangout place crowd.

The Ebbs taproom on the other side of Seaver Way is more of my speed though for pre and postgame hangs ;)

Even more telling about it being run by either the Mets/Citi themselves, or in conjunction with T7L, is a lack of social media accounts for the new place, at least on the Big Three for self promotion of Twitter, Facebook/Instagram and TikTok.

FWIW though, I just listened to the T7L's podcast episode segment discussing it, and unless Darren is being coy about a lot of it, they have absolutely nothing to do with this.  From the concept, to how they think it will be (less stereotypical “Coyote Ugly-esque” wild times), and beyond pre-game and post-game meetups location, the T7L organization has no input, or management role in the establishment.

Oh and, on another forum, a member was told by a bartender that there was no soft opening!

They basically were doing trial by fire yesterday!

Which has me thinking now that the reasoning behind using the space as the postseason celebratory space for the organization was so that would be at most three chances for a controlled soft opening to make sure kinks were ironed out, and things were up to snuff after a couple of years of non usage. But you know what they say about best laid plans!
