Well, the Mets have mastered solo homers in the ninth to cut four-run losses into three-run losses.

But I think when the Braves finish laughing their collective asses off at the pathetic team they need to catch who can't beat the frigging Cubs with deGrom on the mound they'll probably fare much better.

And three pitches after Joc Pederson, a ATL hero in last year's post-season but now playing for the Giants, makes the 3rd out with bases loaded in a 1 - 1 game,

the Braves take a 3-1 lead on a 2R HR by Dansby Swanson.

And now it's 4-1 Braves thanks to a dropped Fly Ball for the 3rd out followed by a single by a guy in A-ball when the season started plated another run.

So maybe they can win AND laugh their asses off at the Mets at the same time.

Fgirl and I opted out of this game to attend the Syracuse Mets game.



They started out with a 90 minute rain delay despite it not having rained. They got all nervous about the forecast and didn't want to have to get pitchers up only to have them sit. Except for both teams were using htis as a bullpen game. So not really sure what the point of that was.



We made it to the top of the 6th - and at 10:30 PM it was 11-5 Bisons. We got cold and went home. The game went until 11:40 PM.



We did get to see both Drew Smith and Tylor Megill pitched. They were equally ineffective in front of tens of fans.

Megill was supposed to breeze threw those innings and be with the Mets today but he got rocked, as Fman99 and Fgirl witnessed. Max pitches in Syracuse tonight and rumor has it that he's having a post-game brew with Fman99.
