Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I've seen deGrom throw shutout ball while living dangerously, but Scherzer has danced on the edge of oblivion the whole game tonight.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Mets fans chanting back “MVP” after third JudgeStrikeout.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Somebody put on Loverboy record, because it's time for the Mets to get Luetge.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Who do you like for the eighth? Hunter? Lugo? Williams? Lopez? Smith?I dunno.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Buck likes Peterson. Hmmm.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Wasn't even on my list. Not the worst idea, though.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Four pitch walk in the lefty/lefty matchup. Ugh
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 And a dinger. Total misfire by Buck. A bullpen full of guys who have pitched in short relief all year. Use those dudes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 And it's looking like a fartingly bad idea.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Lugo coming in a few batters late. The dinger I can almost live with. The 4-pitch walk to a lefty I can't.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Lugo, naturally, lights out once the game's tied up.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Surprising that Boone wasn't out to argue on Strike 3 call to Donaldson since he maintains that if MFY hitters don't swing at it then it's automatically a ball.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Well striking out the side is a good turn.A good turn from a sick burn, perhaps, but onward.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 "Buck, what were you thinking in sending Peterson out there?""How do you know that I was thinking anything? You can't possibly fathom the workings of my mind. Don't even try to, okay? You're not equipped for the task."
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Do you burn Diaz here with 8-9-1 due up? I stick with Loogs if it's me
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Lugo for a second inning= scary.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 He look all right thus far in inning #2. I think the real fear is 2nd straight day Lugo
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 ESPN announcers stink but their crawl is also terrible. How many times in 3 hours do I need to see the same NFL and Mike Trout story lines?
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 "Buck, why did you go with Lugo rather than Diaz in the ninth?""Because I'm smart and you're dumb, that's why."
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Diaz got Judge by pitching him high and tight last night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 New Rule: No ghost runners in extra innings in intra-city matchups.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 And now it's time to face the judge.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Okay, let's win it here please.
