roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Solace in getting shut out is you're never going to win on days you don't score. It's hard to get upset when the other team manages to push a run across in extras.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Lindor's swing on the 2-0 count might have lost the game. He probably thought "he doesn't want to walk me with Pete on deck" and he wanted to be the hero so he swung on a low pitch that even the ump would have called a ball.

I suspect he sold out on the fastball but got a slider instead. That's a very different AB with a 3-0 count rather than 2-1
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Braves win so 1.5 up. Looking shaky going into Atlanta.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I forgot about the Cubs series. In my mind, the series in Atlanta led right into the break. Also, sucks to have a homestand last just four games.

Perhaps that's gone by the wayside now.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 My last tee-shirt venture was a bust, back in the Zvon days.
