The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 That shift was so extreme they were practically giving a single on a ball to the left side. Then J.D. with a more traditional hit throught the left side. Then McCann crushes one and just like that the Mets are piling on.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Castano's a low-K pitcher, Nimmo a low-K batter, he got him struck out twice tonight.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 (edited) Great grab by Nimmo in dead center, warning track. Catch of the day. He's been at a Gold Glove level all year. Edited July 7, 2022 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Jesús Sánchez was so delighted by that catch that he almost clapped.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 One thing about Nimmo, he's a much better centerfielder than he used to be, and he's worked hard at it.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Jimmy Yacabonis sounds like a made man in the Mob.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 The extreme shift against McNeil is crazy. Plus it allows Escobar to get a massive walking lead at third base. McNeil draws a walk to load the bases for J.D. Davis with a chance to blow this game completely open.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Yacabonis sleeping with the Fish.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 JDDAVIS TRADE VALUE±++++++++++++
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 [bIGPURPLE]Grand Kaboom for Davis!!!![/bIGPURPLE]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 I think J.D. just earned himself a Yaca-bonus.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 That's how you blow a game open.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Author Posted July 7, 2022 I think JD just upped his trade value! lol...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 JDD gets a Jack-a-Bonus off of Yacabonis.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Uacabonis really wearing it this inning. No one's coming to help you, Jimmy.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Batting Practice has been fun tonight! anyone know what time the game starts?
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Meanwhile, Scherzer is probably thinking, "Where the hell were these bats on Tuesday."
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Trevor Williams has a one hit shutout through 6 inninigs. That is at the top of the list for lines I never thought I would type.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 We gots to get some Ender Inciarte action.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Berti's arm looks a lot better at shortstop than it does in left field.

He got lifted with a no-hitter after six innings on the second day of the season back in 2018.He's nobody's first choice, but I think he's shown us that he can pitch.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 These Marlins... they suck!
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 He's earned some respect with his fine performance tonight. He's likely done for night after 7 great innings. Go Trevor! Go, Trevor!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Boy, a slow guy trying to take the extra base on Marte's arm down 10-0 is purrrrty stupid.Job well done, Trevor. I'm sure you found my lack of faith disturbing.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 J.D. Davis needs a triple for the cycle. Go for it J.D.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Give Smith a low-leverage inning for the ninth?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 St. Loo and Atlanta tied at one, top of the eighth.
