Trevor Williams can be the Mets personal savior today.



He will be filling in today against Humberto Castellanos who is taking another turn as the five.



Humpty Casty was effective for four innings against these Mets prior.



I would hope the Mets would plaster him as they have seen him recently. Please don't let him become a Ranger Suarez type who will continually give the Mets fits.



Winning today would give the Mets a win of this series with the opportunity to get the brooms out tomorrow.

Despite this being a WPIX game, the SNY app is not carrying it - likely because it's also being covered by the MLB network. That one is blacked out for me, so I am forced to use the "fell off a truck" live stream/Chromecast to watch, complete with the boobery of MLB Network's broadcast team.

Maybe, but the other two guys on that play didn't do much better. That's seemingly a couple of times this season that Lindor's stayed back on balls he needed to get to faster.

Also, the boxscore suggests Mets appear to have put the ball in play this game, but it doesn't feel like it.

Gary is wrong. In PHI, the fans boo "LETS GO METS" chants with passion. In WSH, they boo out of a sense of obligation and it's a delayed booing because their idiot fans have been looking at their phones so it takes a few seconds for them to realize what is going on.

Humbert threw nothing but offspeed stuff that inning. I thought the Mets would get to him.
