I saw this game. Most of it. I was suddenly overcome by a powerful urge to go to sleep in the middle of the ninth. Which I did. When I woke up the next morning and checked the box scores, I saw that I had missed quite a bit of action and back and forth over a missed inning and a half. But I couldn't figure out, as much as I tried to, how McNeil got on second in the top of the tenth. I finally figured it out after about 10 minutes and several box scores and scoring summaries. I found the answer in a game article.
