Kikuchi was pretty good before the new ball/sticky stuff fiasco. Both lefties. Both throw hard, but I think the peripherals on Kikuchi are kinda yucky.

It's more to be sure we have the depth to have 3/4 more possible started for 6,7 & 8 and we haven't got Jared Eikhoff types getting however many starts he did.
