Mets take their disjointed five-game winning streak inside the Beltway. Rich Hill vs Capitol Hill, slightly after seven on SNY (or MASN, presumably, if you're in blackout territory).

Sage advice.

If there's a hitter on another team you have trouble getting out, you should pitch around around him unless you have to.(e.g.- bases loaded and no place to put him)

I'd argue the opposite: pitch TO someone unless forced to do otherwise.

Avoid someone if the situation calls for it but preemptively granting anyone a 1.000 OBA and then trying to figure out a way to get him out with the sacks full and you can't walk him is a formula for losing baseball.

Five out of the last six since the whole west-coast-teams debacle was nice but at the same time was virtually necessary and it remains necessary that we keep

up something resembling that pace over this eight game WAS (5) / MIA (3) road swing. Winning 'only' five here probably isn't good enough, especially as it's

followed by a NYY - StL - PHI - BOS (2) - MIL 14-game stretch.

That's why you don't swing at borderline 3-0 pitches while leading off an inning, Pete.

Nobody should be doing this. Babe Ruth in 1921 shouldn't be doing this.

Five players drafted from Seaford HS: in 1965, 1967, 1969, 1970, and then this Nolin guy in 2008

What were that town feeding those guys back in the late '60s?

If Hand pitches this weekend he will have pitched in Nationals Park this season for 3 different teams. That sounds unusual.

Until just mentioned by Gary a minute ago, I hadn't thought about David Peterson on maybe two months.
Same here and then I thought that we didn't realize what a loss that was at the time. I hope he's OK for ST '22.

If it's a day ending with "y", Villar makes an out on the basepaths. SNY absolves him.

In this case Gary and Keith were right.

His only other option was to try and return to 2nd but if he does that he likely runs the team into a DP
