No, Beltran is a no-doubt Mets Hall-of-Famer. But there's that side issue that would prevent him from being the next inductee. Same with Reyes, who on statistics alone is a no-doubt candidate, but there is an off-the-field issue.



No personal affronts intended, but Al Jackson, Ron Hunt, and RA Dickey were the marginal candidates to which I was referring.

I'm a Big Hall guy when it comes to Mets HoF, and a small-hall guy wrt uni retirement. You definitely can't be strong on the former and weak on the latter, so my Met HoF includes all guys we remember well and were significant in achievement, meaningful and accomplished.



I might draw a line somewhere around Granderson. I mean, he'd be deep in the line but I'd consider him and all above
