I think the second run idea is your best angle here ... but even if you want to call Realmuto the better hitter right now (Harper still more dangerous IMO) I'm still not with you.

There was already one out so the extra run odds are somewhat negated. And then I'll still fall back on R-v-R and the force all around to tip the scales.



And Philly did the same in the bottom half although the conditions were considerably different so not really an apt analogy here.

Yeah, the obviousness of walking Harper is just one more reason why the magic-runner-on-second is a scourge.

Attending my nephew's HS graduation tonight at 6 PM, but this does entail a one hour drive to and from the ceremonies. Good to know there will be Mets baseball for both of those rides.
