Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 I'd've bunted three times before going down. Come on.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 The bad news is ... one of us is going to have sleep with Alonso.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 I was just about to say that the one hood thing about today's game was that Nola would be unable to match 27 straight K's ... cuz it was starting to look like it was a possibility.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Nola has clearly stolen deGrom's soul.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Not a small chance that TaiJuan gets hit for this inning.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Somebody get a bat on the ball. Please.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Of course I feel the need to point out that Seaver had his opportunity for 11 straight K's (or more) cut off by the ending of the game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Another one of those bunt singles, Guillorme!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Billy Batts put some good wood on that one. Encouraging

Had Seaver struck out the next batter he faced, Maury Wills, four days later, (remember four man rotations and three days rest in between starts?) he would've been credited with striking out 11 straight batters. He didn't, and wasn't. Edited June 25, 2021 by Guest

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 I'm not sure there is a strike zone this afternoon, but I hear you. It's kind of disappointing that Nola didn't get an announcement.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Here we go, a leadoff HBP.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 7 inning games are the worst. this is stupid.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Nola to the bench. Not comfortable with the DP set up. Phillie's infield defense gives me a little more calm, though.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 WOWZERS!!I wasn't expecting that. (the double steal)

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Well, the walk brings the GiDP back into play, but sets up a bases-loaded walk, too.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 We're the kings of the bases-loaded BB this season ... and we've got just the pitcher for it
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Chance Sisco couldn't be any worse than McCann.
