Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Forecast for the entire weekend looks pretty rotten, at least up here in my neck of the woods. And naturally it's night games on the docket all weekend :eye roll:
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Author Posted May 28, 2021 Yeah, the NOAA forecast for Corona NY is heavy rain after 4pm today through Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Instead of trying to do a doubleheader this weekend, it might make more sense to hold off until the last week in July, which is when the Braves next come to town. They can hope that the Mets will be healthier then.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 We've got tickets! We've also got indoor backup plans!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Perhaps a day-night DH on Sunday (Sunday's game is already at night).ATL returns in a few weeks: June 21, 22 and 23 and again from July 26 to 29.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Oh good, it's been nearly 48 hours since we last had a postponement. The Mets are going to wind up needing to play somewhere around 47 games in Septemberand probably most of them will be more of these Little League Double-Headers.

As things stand now, deGrom's leading the NL in just about every single rate stat. Rate wise, deGrom just might be twice as good as Gibson was in '68 right now.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Rainouts eat onions out of my asshole. There, I said what everyone else is thinking.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 All the minor league teams in the organization have been rained out, too.Three of the games will be made up this weekend, but Brooklyn's game has been rescheduled until August.Later
