Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 I've just noticed that the Marlins have Anderson and Cooper hitting back to back.Almost makes you want to do a 360
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 22, 2021 Author Posted May 22, 2021 Kind of goofy that they get burned shifting against Cooper when he hit it down Smith's throat last time up.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Big moment here for Looper
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Dammit Nido, use two hands, tag the guy and get out of there.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Nice throw from Maybin. It looked like Anderson had got the plate ahead of the tag in a bang-bang play. Looked like the Mets wouold have got the call, had Nido been able to hold onto the ball.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 I want that guy's NYM-themed Hawaiin shirt ... only in a considerably smaller size.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 I'm feelin Maybin this innin'

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Yeah, Bass was feelin' Maybin too.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Fun fact I came across as I went down the Stottlemyre family rabbit hole - Mel Sr. lost 20 games in 1966, but was an All-Star.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 22, 2021 Author Posted May 22, 2021 Lucky, lucky, lucky Mets. They are getting four out of five breaks these days.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Wow, Mets cash in on the break. Smith should have been out. Ump definitely missed that called third strike.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 (edited) Maybe if the catcher didn't move that non-strike call a foot from where he caught it... Edited May 22, 2021 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 I wonder some of the 'magic words' that result in elections these days include stuff like: "I can't wait until they replace you with R2D2"
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 22, 2021 Author Posted May 22, 2021 Bleier was rattled. Nido should have put the bat on his shoulder and made the guy throw strikes.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 I'm a few innings behind you guys, on DVR-delay. Some weird deliveries--I hadn't seen these guys before. Lucchesi looks like he gets a hell of a workout on every pitch, touching the ground practically and doing a Rockettes kick, while this Reid-Foley dude looks like the Illustrated Man taking a dump between pitches.
