Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 I don't know the Buffalo Blue Jays. I'm not altogether familiar with the Toronto Bisons either, for that matter.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 The Blue Jays are depleted. Bo Bichette, Teoscar Hernandez and Rowdy Tellez are on the IL.They score runs, alotToronto picked up three starting pitchers at the deadline; Ross Stripling, Robbie Ray and Taijuan Walker. Thus far Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has done little to remind us of his father. They also have blue in their uniforms.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Fattened up on the MFYs recently but everyone but us do that
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2020 Author Posted September 9, 2020 With Bichette, Guerrero, and Cavan Biggio, they've demonstrated themselves to be tops in the league at scouting MLB daycare centers.Sexy exies include:Wilmer Font (who pitched 31 innings for the 2019 Mets and Fman missed all of them),Anthony Kay (pitcher picked in the late first round in 2016 [we were the pennant winners], but dealt off with 2018 second-rounder Simeon Woods-Richardson for Marcus Stroman),2019 emergency Canó replacement Joe Panik.Bench coach Dave Hudgens used to be our hitting coach and was cute in that he'd interact with his players all offseason on Twitter. Pitching coach Pete Walker was a two-time Met of little distinction. Longtime base coach Luis Rivera was a 1994 Met.Color and analysis come from Pat Tabler and Cliff Floyd.Jon Lannan is on the payroll as a mental performance coach, and their abandoned domed stadium is named for CranePooler Steve J. Rogers.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Loved Floyd. Wonder if we can get their feed for a game and see what he is up to.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 I've asked the Blue Jays fans on another board I frequent(and there are many of them) for a scouting report on their team, or as they say, "Who's hot, who's snot". I'll let you know what they say.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 10, 2020 Author Posted September 10, 2020 Duh, 1969 Met Dr. Ron Taylor is still on the payroll as physician emeritus. Longtime 1980s and 1990s Mets minor league coach/manager John Tamargo is their short-season field coordinator, a position that I assume still has duties attached to it despite the lack of short seasons and fields to coordinate.David Aardsma, 2013 Met and Baseball Encyclopedia keynoter, reins as their rehab pitching coordinator.
