Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 All eyes curious to see if the Mets' deep dive into their infield depth chart continues.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 When's deGrom's next start?
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Love these unis the Nats wore yesterday -- but mainly the fronts. They're alternates, with gold for their WS win. It's a clean, classic look -- the fronts. Plus, I always hated the Nats regular number fonts.[FIMG=444]https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/fetch/w_2000,h_2000,c_fit/https%3A%2F%2Fdistrictondeck.com%2Ffiles%2F2020%2F07%2FScreen-Shot-2020-07-23-at-7.16.16-AM.jpg[/FIMG][FIMG=444]https://www.insidehook.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/nationals.jpg?resize=1104,1104[/FIMG]
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 (edited) Gold garbage and classless to wear it beyond the opening weekend. Who designed it, Liberace? Edited August 5, 2020 by Guest

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Today's pitching matchup doesn't look terribly promising, does it?
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 =batmagadanleadoff post_id=42903 time=1596650135 user_id=68]You mean his evil twin brother, Harry?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Mr. Sandman (yes) bring us a dreamGive him a pair of eyes with a "come-hither" gleamGive him a lonely heart like PagliacciAnd lots of wavy hair like Liberace
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 Guillorme, too. There's nothing remotely resembling a set lineup for this Luis Rojas character, is there?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Well, Brian Dozier didn't really make a strong case for more playing time yesterday. Hopefully Rosario can return soon and Gimenez can become the regular 2B.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I missed my IGTNJ is 80% without power including me. They say 5-7 days
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 Yeah, we figured you were down. Welcome back.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I was almost happy to see Ramos strike out in that situation [2 on/ none out / Top 4] because, right before that pitch, I suddenly had visions of him grounding into a triple play.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 What happened to Scherzer?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 That was the Mets 11th GiDP of this season. At the start of the day, only SFG had more (12) and that includes both leagues.Given that we're tops in the NL in OBA (behind only Houston) and yet below average in RS/G, I'm sure this surprises no one.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 It would be considered good for a pitcher with 80 pitches under his belt to be through the first out in the 6th (or 17 outs). Porcello is through 7 full (21 outs).
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 i'm starting to not like the piped in crowd noise. its quiet there. let it be quiet!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 Silence is terrifying!!Not terrifying would be Smeth Lugo coming out for the ninth.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 A Rick Porcello outing Mets fan Rick Porcello could love.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 This was some good baseball and played at an NL pace for once.
