G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 (edited) The Mets christen newly named Truist Park by hopefully ruining the night of all those stiffs in the seats. Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 So the Braves have five two-out hits so far in this game, including four in a row and two for RBIsDo the Mets even have four two-out hits this year so far? I know they didn't over the previous two games.oe: the Mets are 13 (10 singles) for 72 w/2 outs so far with a whopping 6 RBIs: .171/.272/.236
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Wayne just said on the radio that Franklyn Kilome was warming. Not watching on TV, was he called up and who's down?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Rene Rivera is on the IL, I think Gary said
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 This aging veteran lefty guy TURNED on that hanging curveball! How did we acquire him? Could be quite a bargain find!
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Wait: We're allowed to score runs after we load the bases?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Contact w/runners in scoring position!!!!! ... and it was a hit to boot!

LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Now Rosario almost loses one. Is there something with the lights or the wind?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Do these cardboard Braves fans have any cardboard racist rituals?
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 (edited) Pretty kind of us to offer some runs back to our hosts after they so generously did so for us. Edited July 31, 2020 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 The cardboard comeback isn't a thrill.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Glad to see Canó hitting, but spiking that DP ball sure hurt.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 We are the Mets bullpen: Give us a six-run lead and we'll just barely prevent the tying run from getting to the plate the very next half-inning.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Now That's the d'Arnaud I remember!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Davis got the same pitch three times in a row. Took two for strikes, and served the third, which had the least plate of the three, one into right for the RBI.Sweet piece of hitting, but it's certainly helpful when Chacin sticks with the same pitchy.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Y'know, it would save a lot of time if they just, like, intentionally walked the leadoff guy.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Can't the Braves just roll over nicely
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Shreve is a real upright pitcher for a lanky guy. He'd do well to do a little drop-and-drive.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Is it me or d'Oes d'Arnaud look stockier?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I think we have an outside shot at winning this game.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I hope Chasen Shreve has a few more innings like that to give us this season.
