I still prefer the outlines, but good for Newsday for introducing a hint of drop shadow. It strengthens both entries but really helps in the bottom.

that streak with a vote for Jake.

Double-entredre on a headline generally beats a pun, if executed well, and this one is. Also a good match for the photo, highlights the first happening of a weird new thing with the Mets etc etc. STREAKERS: It's a winner.
