G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 His cap saw action (getting bit by Pedro Borbon), but otherwise Buzz Capra wasn't involved in the 1973 postseason.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Oops. Edited prior post instead of posting below. That's all the correct answers. Nice job all. I thought the McClure and De Aza answers were next to impossible...
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 De Aza occurred to me yesterday (one of those rare Exactly One Season Mets w/o DL or other detours) but got obscured when I started focusing on relief pitchers. McClure came to me as if in a vision this morning. Like Niemann, he was the superfluous lefty specialist Davey didn't find all that special.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 De Aza occurred to me. But conflating him with Chris Young, I convinced myself that the Mets shed him before the post-season.There's no excuse for me not getting Bob McClure. My doctoral dissertation was on the 1978 Brewers.
