Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 First time out in Flushing in a while and what a perfect night for it. Reportedly a sellout and it may well have been - people were in their seats and LOUD.Someone asked about Panik's walkup song. Sorry, couldn't hear it as crowd was going nuts after Guillorme.Loved the move of keeping in Lugo for the bottom of the Washington order. Loved the roster flexibility with McNeil playing 3 positions.Alonso might be pressing a little, or just looking to extend that HR streak.A winning ballclub is FUN. LGFM

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 The top of the story in The Washington Post:NEW YORK — The Washington Nationals cannot wake up from this recurring nightmare.Somehow, for the fifth consecutive game at Citi Field and for the second time in as many nights, they fell to the New York Mets after leading in the eighth or ninth inning. On Saturday, the Nationals grabbed the lead in the first and again in the eighth, only to give it away like all the others in a 4-3 heartbreaker of a loss that left chants of “Let's go, Mets!” reverberating around the ballpark.
