Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Everybody thank Grandy for getting thrown out by a mile with the go-ahead run.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Mickey told the writers Rosario was getting a scheduled day off and told the broadcasters Rosario was being benched for loafing on a fly ball that fell in last night. The collaborative Mets way continues to shine through.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Granderson deserves to be thrown out after robbing Pete. Sorry, Curtis, but it's true.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Perhaps it won't matter in the end but holy fuck with not letting deGrom throw to Nido.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 JdG is going to be over 100 pitches by the 5th inning at this rate.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Cano is now just a triple away from a four consecutive AB cyc ... oh wait, never mind.Since hitting 27 triples over his first seven ML seasons, he has just six in the seven-plus seasons since.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Marlins IF suddenly looking like the NYM's by turning a potential three outs on two consecutive ground balls into just one out and a run scored thanks to slow play and/or poor decisions.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Geeez, anyone but Ramos there scores. Now four grounders with forces available have resulted in just two outs. Not that they all could have been GiDPs but I thought the Yanquis were the only ones who run into that kind of luck.oe: FIVE grounders = 2 outs!!and NOW a big hit will really do some damage
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 The top of the fourth illustrated well a fourth place team playing a fifth place team. The Marlins shouldn't have allowed any runs and the Mets should've scored a bunch more.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Buffalo has stampeded for SEVEN infield hits in 2019, per Baseball Reference.Amazing what can be achieved with a bat on the ball and ninety feet worth of effort.

The Marlins shouldn't have allowed any runs and the Mets should've scored a bunch more.Yup. The downside to all the gifts that inning was that the Mets couldn't get the ball out of the infield.oe: And now yet another infield "hit".
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Guillorme gets his first hit since April 24.Something's afoot. Maybe.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Marlins barely going through the motions today.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 The New Canoe hits his second homer in two days.Who knew that it was batting third that was killing him?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 (edited) It's always somebody's turn to suck out of the pen this year.Let's just hope that today it's only one somebody. Edited July 14, 2019 by Guest
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Time for Familia to be diagnosed with another injury. He needs some time in Syracuse (which isn't fair to Syracuse but that's the way it goes).
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Has Keith ever said that the batter was right not to swing at what was called "strike three"?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Wayne: Rosario is "hustling around the bases".What we saw: Rosario jogging into 2B.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Seemed like Lugo was getting all the calls that Familia was getting squeezed on.#RacistUmp
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Has Keith ever said that the batter was right not to swing at what was called "strike three"?I suppose that if it were a ridiculous strike three call he would. But he was right about that one. Anderson did a whole lotta barking for a 3-2 pitch that was maybe an inch outside.
