Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Maybe Gomez is here to cancel 2007 forever.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 1) I think Drew Gagnon has earned a start to see if he will replace Font in the rotation.Remembering Edgy's clever thread title, Drew no longer gags us with a spoon.2) Not exactly the offensive onslaught that proves the recent team slump has been reversed. But we'll take it. Now keep it up, guys.Later
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I like Font as the 2-to-3-inning opener, but only as that. I like what Gagnon's doing, but nothing about it suggests that he could regularly outfox good hitters for 3 rounds.I think Font and Gagnon as a package deal, however-- with both regularly available as longmen besides-- may be a winning ticket.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Well, he's plowed mercilessly through International League batters in between his MLB callups. You've got to give him an increasing opportunity (if only gradual) to show if it's real.

That book had it as "paper bag."
