Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 Sorry! I've been busy with other things! I have a couple of new baseball cards to create and I haven't had the chance to do so yet.To compensate you for the inconvenience, you'll get a 10 Euro gift card that can be used for any purchase at the CPF Gift Shop in Stockholm.

I've had my eye on that commemorative "ROOKIE RUNS SCORED RECORD" t-shirt, with the caricatures of Pete and Cleon, which between the markdown and the gift card I can finally rationalize buying.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 What a batch of winning portrayals! And a puppy!I'll still take that gift card, though.(There seems to be a cut-and-paste issue wherein the July relievers are listed under August, and the August relievers are listed under bench players.)
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I saw that first card and wondered how David Wright managed to win POTM.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Wait. Jed Lowrie is on the board? I'm dying to know what he did to warrant a point.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 4/100's of a point. The Jed Lowrie Game!
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Dom Smith won Bench Player on one swing, which isn't that unusual in this category, since a game-winning pinch-hit can sway the vote big-time, but he had only one swing in the month in question -- the final swing of the season. I actually found myself thinking, in the aftermath of that game, "Well, I guess this kills Rajai Davis's award."Suarez appears unhappy to have placed second in the NL homer derby.DeGrom 1970 would get a fine from Hodges for that hair. But boy does he look good.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Crazy, by the way, that Edwin Diaz led the team in saves by oodles and was never once ROTM.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 That HOME RUN LEADERS card kills it. I always noted which players looked like two heads on one torso in those cards, and Suarez and Bellinger keep that tradition alive.Longer-haired deGrom is welcome, despite its anachronism. Fatter, sleepier Dom Smith, not so much.
