ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Throw Broxton into the mix, sure. However, we still need a biggie hitting OF. Get to it BVG

SMG58 simply pointed out 2 comparable ( though better) players to Lagares that the Yankees have continued to carry on their roster. Granted, with the Yankees offense, they can afford to carry a defense first centerfielder much better than the Mets.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 The DH league makes it easier to carry crap too. You'll never need Lagares as a pinch-hitter
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 wow, the steamer projections really crap all over broxton, don't they? despite averaging about a 0.420 SLG the past three seasons with the brewers, they have him at a meager 0.331. his AVG and OBP seem to track with past seasons, though. if his steamer projections hold true, he'd be a worse player than lagares, WAR-wise. either way, i should think that he should not hold us back from trying to further improve the outfield. but he probably will. c'mon brodie, prove me wrong.
