That seems crazy high for Harvey.

About double what I think he's worth. But it's a lottery ticket, and if it doesn't work out, they spend the money elsewhere next year.

And if it does work out it'll cost them more than the $11 million base price.

Michael Brantley, the 10-year vet of the Cleveland OF who's hit while he's been healthy and is coming off a bounce-back year in 2018 after missing huge chunks of '16 & '17, signs a two-year deal w/the Astros.

Matt Harvey gets last laugh

Oh, no. I've got a LOT of laughs left.

He may have a lot of $$, but he can't take that away from me.

Anibal Sanchez from the Braves to the Nationals (so we'll still see him 15 times a season).
Daniel Murphy to the Rockies.

It's being reported as a two year deal w/Murph and the Rox ... although nothing official yet.
I'd have thought Muffy to be a sure bet for the AL going forward, but at that length the guy who'll turn 34 y/o on opening week isn't a bad bet for Denver where I guess he now replaces three-time 2B Gold Glove winner (and 4-1/2 years younger) DJ LeMahieu, a guy who ain't a bad hitter in his own right. And why haven't we heard more about DJ LeM as a top FA this winter?

Andrew Miller officially signs with the Cardinals. The move guarantees 2 and 25, with an option for a third year that vests with 110 appearances over the first two seasons (easy to reach "if" he stays healthy).

The A's, Rangers, and Rays completed a three-player swap, the primary consequence of which is that Jurickson Profar will have to get used to wearing yellow and green.

I agree. The health is a big if for Murphy, but he's hit fine when he's played and Coors Field is still Coors Field. He's a better bet for first base than second at this point, though.
