They should have called it a tie after eight and put it in the books (in the small-c catholic sense). Jake pitching like that was the game. Wins and losses have never felt less material.

But it was suspended from rain in the tenth, the seventh such occasion in Mets history. The others, in case you've forgotten, were the 1977 blackout game, the 1979 Father's Day game when commercial flight concerns led to an agreed upon curfew, the 1979 game in which the final out was registered repeatedly but a protest was upheld, a 1986 darkness situation at Wrigley and two rain games of recent vintage at Citi Field (2013 and 2015). In all but the first two cases, the games were completed the next day, as this one, weather permitting, will be.

As far as I know it'll be at 2:20 EDT (1:20 local time) - normal starting time for the regular game which will follow the conclusion of the unfinished one.

DeGrom walks one and strikes out 10 in 8 innings, AND he goes 2-4 and drives in the only run. It's becoming almost comical at this point. On a team with a good offense he'd win 25 games this year.
