Article says her old man didn't even know she was after the job.

And the people who hired her had no idea who she was, either.

And Alyssa had no idea her father works for the Mets organization. In fact, Alyssa doesn't even know who her father is.

I don't care. If she's good at the job and the content is interesting and funny and hopefully different, then great. Her instagram is, uh, fun to look at.

she's been writing for The7Line as of recently, and before that was part of a radio show on some misogynistic website.

I think it'll be typical social media content stuff, but I guess we'll see.

Same here. I could care less eitber way. Really. Just challenging Howie a little, because his statement is bs, I think, and besides the point, even if true.

Is this the daughter who used to be afraid of Mr. Met when she'd come to the games as a (4?, 5?) year old? Or maybe she still is and the workspace assignments needed to be delicately handled.

I believe Howie has two girls so this may or may not be the one. It also may or may not be the one I saw Howie with at the harbor area in Baltimore when I was there during one of the earliest seasons of
inter-league play. It was a Saturday afternoon (remember those?) network game so Howie, then working TV with Cablevision, had the game off and so was just strolling around the (then) newly renovated
harbor area like the rest of us while waiting for the game to start.
Needless to say she was much younger then (20 years ago?). So was I now that I think about it, but I was at least (allegedly) an adult at the time.

What exactly does a 'social media correspondent' do? Tweet all game?

Probably. I would guess she would try to engage the fan base across different social media platforms (tweets, instas, snapchats, youtubes, etc) and hopefully have some unique pieces with the players, too. Funnier stuff, stuff you wouldn't see on MLB.com or SNY or whateva.

Looks like she's doing, so far, mostly what Alexa Datt (now working directly for MLB) and Brandon and those other people pretty much did/do (are they still around?) just less tethered to SNY/the broadcast.
