He has a .957 OPS this April. I guess the slow starts were a Mets thing. 2 HR's including that Grand Slam.

You know who does suck? Neil Walker, that's who. No HR's in 52 AB's. .173 average and a .438 OPS. Who was that idiot that wanted him over Cabrera? What a stupid.

Others:

Lucas Duda: 3 HR's for the awful KC Royals. .739 OPS.

Addison Reed: 9 IP, 1.00 ERA, 10K's. 0.889 WHIP

Ones that got away:

Jason Kipnis. .463 OPS. No HR's. Made a bad error that led to the Indians losing in 16 innings to the Twins.

Josh Harrison. Broken hand. Out 6 weeks. .679 OPS before he went down.

Andrew McCutchen. Couple of nice walkoffs, but overall only a .612 OPS to start the year in SF.

Lancy Lynn. 0-1. 5.00 ERA. 1.778 WHIP

Fun with small sample size.

McCutchen OPS: .612
Harrison OPS: .679

McCutchen + Harrison = 1.291

Brandon Nimmo OPS: 1.214

We could’ve had Walker over Reyes, though.

We can still have Cecchini, Guillorme, or Kelly over Reyes. I'll take any of them.

So when we (and be 'we' I mean CF) declared that Granderson sucked it seemed to turn him around and made him good.
So will this thread make his suck for the remainder of the year?

Hope not. Toronto is off to a good start and are in the midst of a series w/the Yanx.

I'm glad Granderson is doing well. I always liked him. He played hard, seemed to be a supportive teammate, and appeared to be a good guy. If his playing well helps the Blue Jays win games and give the Yankees another team (besides the Red Sox) to trail, that just makes it better.

Well, my insulting of Bruce seems to have paid off the same way everyone insulting Granderson used to.

Off Craig Kimbrel too. First walk-off vs Kimbrel in nearly five years.

Grandy even threw out a potential go-ahead BoSox run at the plate to end the top of the 9th. No, really, he did, and without even needing a relay!

What the hell. Up until that last part I was happy for him. Now I feel like he's just rubbing it in.

The Jays have him in left field which is so obviously where he belongs, so that helps a bit.
The funny part was that when I saw the highlight the voice-over didn't even say who the OF was but I instantly recognized him by his throwing motion (mine was better at age 37 than his - I didn't fry out my shoulder until some 2-3 years later)

Jake Arrieta. 3-0. 1.82 ERA. 0.932 WHIP.

32 years old. The Phillies have him on a 3 year deal at $25 per.

Had the Mets signed him instead of Vargas, their payroll would be about $173 million. 7th in baseball, $11 million behind the Nationals.
