Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 7:10 PM start, Chase Anderson v. Matt Harvey.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Lets see what Matt Harvey brings to the mound on what should be a close to full house on a terrific spring evening.I like seeing Todd Frazier engaging the media as he does. That has to make life easier for those who are not as comfortable with the press
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Brewers RH Chase Anderson (0-1, 3.38 ERA) vs. Mets RH Matt Harvey (0-0, 3.60)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 They lucked out with the weather tonight in what will be their only home Sat night start of April (on the road the next two weeks). And it's fireworks tonight.Absent those two conditions and they could have drawn -- and deserved -- 10K or less.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Nice 1-2-3 inning from Harvey. Consistently hitting 95 with the fastball, se he appears to be throwing slightly harder than in his previous starts.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Not a good opening inning for the Mets offense as they fail to put a ball into play (K, K, and foul out).
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Second inning not going so well for Harvey.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 To be fair, that was a weird HR. Mets will have to answer with some betterwind-driven weirdness.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Harvey looks like he's fighting himself.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I wonder if the Red Sox still would accept Matt Harvey in that rumored trade for Mookie Betts.Later
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 How long are we going to have to wait for a hit THIS time, guys?Later
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Anderson is making the Mets hitters look pretty bad?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Mets putting up a big fat sniffle through four.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 I'm less optimistic about this game.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 A 2 out walk and a single by Rosario and the Mets have their first threat of the game. It's up to Lobaton to break up the shut out.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Or maybe not. Lobaton strikes out swinging.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 This will be a most-impressive comeback!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 We need a little Nimmo. Right this very minute.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 3 ups to get 3 (or more) runs .... pffft, piece o' cake!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Counsell giving Anderson the Mattingly treatment. What the hell is wrong with people?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Frayed Knot wrote:3 ups to get 3 (or more) runs .... pffft, piece o' cake!Especially so when the opposing manager goes and gets the dominant starter (who had thrown fewer than six innings worth of pitches) with 8 outs still to go on a team minus its closer.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Well, the Mets task likely just got a little easier as Counsel decides to remove a cruising Anderson and go to the bullpen. I guess Counsel had Anderson on a pitch count.Anyway, thank you for the potential favor. Managers coddle pitchers (at least starters too much in my opinion.
