Especially so when the opposing manager goes and gets the dominant starter (who had thrown fewer than six innings worth of pitches) with 8 outs still to go on a team minus its closer.

Well, the Mets task likely just got a little easier as Counsel decides to remove a cruising Anderson and go to the bullpen. I guess Counsel had Anderson on a pitch count.

Anyway, thank you for the potential favor. Managers coddle pitchers (at least starters too much in my opinion.
