Lets see what Matt Harvey brings to the mound on what should be a close to full house on a terrific spring evening.

I like seeing Todd Frazier engaging the media as he does. That has to make life easier for those who are not as comfortable with the press

Brewers RH Chase Anderson (0-1, 3.38 ERA) vs. Mets RH Matt Harvey (0-0, 3.60)

They lucked out with the weather tonight in what will be their only home Sat night start of April (on the road the next two weeks). And it's fireworks tonight.
Absent those two conditions and they could have drawn -- and deserved -- 10K or less.

Nice 1-2-3 inning from Harvey. Consistently hitting 95 with the fastball, se he appears to be throwing slightly harder than in his previous starts.

Not a good opening inning for the Mets offense as they fail to put a ball into play (K, K, and foul out).

Second inning not going so well for Harvey.

To be fair, that was a weird HR. Mets will have to answer with some better
wind-driven weirdness.

I wonder if the Red Sox still would accept Matt Harvey in that rumored trade for Mookie Betts.

A 2 out walk and a single by Rosario and the Mets have their first threat of the game. It's up to Lobaton to break up the shut out.

Or maybe not. Lobaton strikes out swinging.

Especially so when the opposing manager goes and gets the dominant starter (who had thrown fewer than six innings worth of pitches) with 8 outs still to go on a team minus its closer.

Well, the Mets task likely just got a little easier as Counsel decides to remove a cruising Anderson and go to the bullpen. I guess Counsel had Anderson on a pitch count.

Anyway, thank you for the potential favor. Managers coddle pitchers (at least starters too much in my opinion.
