Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 And I don't mean that to just spur a KTE. I mean like, I don't think I know any Marlins.Starlin Castro is there. I know they still have Justin Bour. Beyond that I'm lost.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Seriously, after reading this I went to their roster...#46 I know and the ones you mentioned...beyond that?, some names I have vaguely heard http://m.marlins.mlb.com/roster/
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 The fish kinda go like this:1B - Justin Bour, we know2B - Starlin Castro, we knowSS - Miguel Rojas, 29-years old, I don't know shit about him3B - Brian Anderson, solid minor league numbers, big right handed bat, off to a great start so far (.876 OPS)LF - Derek Dietrich, veteran bat, jut took the leadoff spot from Lew BrinsonCF - Lew Brinson, former top prospect from Milwaukee, acquired for Christian Yelich. He's struggling bad so far, but huge tools (that's what she said)RF - Cameron Maybin, talented former Padre, Tiger (other teams?). Lots there, but never really put it togetherC - Chad Wallach (Tim Wallach's kid maybe?) Hitting .095, I feel like he suxxx, so he will probably get 6 hits in the seriesMonday's starter - Jose Urena. Their "ace". Allows too many baserunners, doesn't strike out enough dudes to undo the first thing. Tuesday's starter - Caleb Smith, hard-throwing righty. Acquired from the MFY in the Stanton trade (I'm pretty sure). Talented but raw.Wednesday's starter - Jarlin Garcia, don't know shit about this guy either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Their closer is Brad Ziegler. I want to not see this dude appear in the series at all.Seriously, we should draw a ton on walks and kick the shit out of this AAA team.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Author Posted April 9, 2018 Great KTE. Wednesday's starter - Jarlin Garcia, don't know shit about this guy either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ LOLOL.Jose Urena.I kinda need to know if we are going to give him a urine-based nickname, or a "Ur Anus" based nickname. This shit is important.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 The Marlins have hit 3 HRs this year: 1 each for Rojas, Dietrich, and Anderson
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I had forgotten that catcher J. T. Realmuto (don't settle for a fake Muto) was still on this team, even though currently DL'd (freakin' WBC!)So he's a name we would have recognized.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Longest tenured Met on the active roster? I'm thinking Harvey? (Not counting Reyes, because his service isn't continuous.)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 If he returns to the active roster before Wright does, it'll be Jenrry Mejia.
