Number Fitty-Nine, digits I guess I associate with Guillermo Mota, and therefore a number that could use some redemption.

Hah! Copy and paste is bullshit. You got me.

Didn't mean to step on your post. Just wanted to leave a record.

Trying to think back and wondering what the Mets count was when I joined, I seem to remember the 800s

Did we ever do a complete list?
I seem to remember a discussion about trying to 'back-determine' an accurate* accounting of who came in what order going back prior to when we started concocting these annual threads (which, IIRC, was when we started anticipating Mr. 1,000) but I don't remember if we ever really went through with it or, if so, what we might have done with the info.

* accurate meaning: based on our self-determined criteria

The list exists somewhere, because I used it as a basis for my Mets autographed card book.

Three additions to the all-time Mets roster this season all bunched together, alphabetically:

Miguel Batista (2011, 2012)
Buddy Baumann (2018)
Ed Bauta (1963, 1964)
Gerson Bautista (2018)
Jose Bautista (2018)

Mike Baxter (2011 - 2013)
