But hey, the difference between first and second string is kinda fuzzy with the 2018 Marlins.Yoenis Céspedes is breaking the seal on 2018, presumably batting second to get him a better chance at a third trip to the plate.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 K-Kaz looks bigger than the 6'0", 192 on his roster page.A-Gon effortlessly made a nice play and, if his body allows, it will nice to have good defense at 1st
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 Cespedes obliterated a ball, which is always fun to see.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 I think all that weight Dom Smith lost over the winter was immediately transferred to the Mets batboy.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 I didn't watch the game because I was afraid a picture of, or comment about, Derek Jeter might send me into painful spasms. (I'm still on pain meds)Now, I can't find a box score. Help!Later
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 10-3 Metropolitans. Cespy 3-run bomb. Gsellman looked gsood. Lobaton HR to put pressure on d'Arwecki.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I was able to watch the big tack-on inning. I guess we should temper expectations given the Marlins lack of trying this year but not a bad day when LJ Mazzilli plays a role in a big rally.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 26, 2018 Author Posted February 26, 2018 Always nice to look at the standings and savor a 1986ian .667 winning percentage.Céspedes is the easy choice for PotG (2-3 with a three-run homer), but take a long, thoughtful look at the Rafael Montero's line (two innings, no baserunners, four strikeouts). Imagine that sort of action out of a swingman.Others in the Schaefer Circle:José Loboton: 2-2, HR, RBI, RSAmed Rosario: 2-3, 2B, 2 RSA.J. Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 The odd thing is when I see Adrian Gonzalez, he still looks the same. So I expect him to be dangerous. Will be disappointing if he isn’t. But I think there is a good chance he can be good.
