Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Not asking who you want, asking what you think is going to happen.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I was voting for Walker until I saw the last option.Fonzie!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 What I want and what I think is so closely woven together............
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Author Posted January 18, 2018 I went with Walker. He is the best hitter of that group, he costs nothing but money, and he's a known entity.I'm guessing Walker signs for 2 year, about $20 million. That would get the Mets to about $145 million in payroll. Plenty of room for more help if they were so inclined.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Its funny that Alfonzo comes up as we are talking about these 28-32 year old free agent infield options. The Mets let him go after his age 28 season at which point his production completely fell off a cliff. Out of baseball 4 years later. You dont often get the timing so right as a club as the Mets did there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I picked Wilmahhhh cause what I want is Walker and I think something F'd up is bound to happen to him before opening day.DON"T LAUGH! Unfortunately I'm not joking.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 My gut says "other." When I figure out who that other is, I'll tell you.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I had the same thought as smg. I wanna be surprised.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I went with other. I think Sandy could zig us while we're expecting a zag. My hunch has not revealed Sandys zig however.
