  1. Friday was a bust for the New York Mets' minor-league system, All four full-season affiliates lost, Syracuse fell twice as it lost the completion of Thursday's suspended game and then the regular game Friday. The bright spots were a handful of strong pitching performances. The best one was Luke Gabrysh's four-inning start for High-A Brooklyn against Jersey Shore. He allowed no runs and one hit, struck out six and walked none. He threw 39 of his 56 pitches for strikes. Familiarity may have played a role. Gabrysh pitched for Jersey Shore before the Mets acquired him from the Philadelphia Phillies' organization prior to the Aug. 3 trade deadline in the Brooks Raley deal. Still, he has shown that he can dominate. The most intriguing indicator is his 30.8 percent strikeout rate. On the flip side, he has a 10.7 percent walk rate and a 3.3 percent home run rate. All those rates combine for a FIP close to 5.00. Luis R. Rodriguez replaced Gabrysh in the fifth and promptly allowed two unearned runs. They proved to be the difference in a 2-1 Cyclones loss. Elsewhere in the organization . . . Syracuse lost Thursday's suspended game to Jacksonville 4-2, and then lost the regular game 7-2. The regular contest was shortened to seven innings because of the completion. Shawn Ross and Nick Morabito drove in the Mets' runs in the seventh. Binghamton's winning streak ended at 10 with a 10-3 loss to Portland. Noah Hall took a beating. He allowed eight runs (all earned) and 11 hits over 3 2/3 innings. St. Lucie lost 3-2 to Jupiter. Dylan Carey hit his first professional home run, a two-run blast in the seventh inning that accounted for the Mets' scoring. DSL Mets Blue lost 18-17 in 10 innings to the DSL Nationals in a game that lasted six hours and two minutes. The Mets drew 21 walks in the game. Oscar Pena drew six of them. Jesus Minaya had two hits, two RBIs and three runs scored. DSL Mets Orange shut out the DSL Marlins on two hits 3-0. Abner Meza (five innings) and Esteban Mejia (two innings) each allowed a hit. The Mets stole seven bases in the game. New York Mets Transactions No Roster Moves Syracuse Goes Quietly As It Loses Twice Syracuse managed just three hits in the regular game, and its runs in the seventh were scored without the benefit of a hit. MJ Melendez, Eric Wagaman, and Ryan Clifford drew consecutive walks to load the bases. After a strikeout, Shawn Ross was hit by a pitch to force in Melendez, and leadoff man Nick Morabito lifted a sacrifice fly to score Wagaman. A strikeout ended the game. Zach Peek started and took the loss. The big hit against him was a three-run homer with two out in the second inning. Matt Seelinger gave Syracuse 1 1/3 hitless scoreless innings of relief. Dylan Ross followed with a clean inning and two strikeouts. Joe Jacques and Ben Simon then allowed the final four runs. 3. The surge is a welcome development for the 22-year-old corner infielder, who appeared to be on the fast track after his 61-game stretch at Binghamton last year (.853 OPS, nine home runs). He stumbled through the first 2 1/2 months this year before going on the injured list in mid-June with a groin tweak. He's up to a .729 OPS and seven homers in 57 games for the Rumble Ponies. His contribution Thursday was also important because he's fighting a few newcomers for at-bats on a suddenly stacked infield. Top prospect Jefferson Rojas and slugging Billy Amick were acquired around the trade deadline. Corey Collins came up from Brooklyn last month. All have been making an impact with the Ponies. Elsewhere in the organization: Syracuse's game at Jacksonville was suspended in the top of the fifth inning because of rain, with the Mets trailing 3-2. Zack Short was on third base with one out and Vidal Brujan was at the plate with a 2-0 count when play was halted. The game will be completed Friday, beginning at 5:05 p.m. The clubs' regularly scheduled game will follow. Brooklyn scored three runs in the seventh inning and two more in the eighth to beat Jersey Shore 6-1. Daiverson Gutierrez broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI double in the seventh. The bullpen gave up one hit over five scoreless innings. St. Lucie scored all its runs in the final three innings as it defeated Jupiter 7-2. Ethan Lanthier struck out nine over 3 2/3 innings and Elian Pena homered for the third time in the series. DSL Mets Orange shut out DSL Giants Black 3-0. Maxgregori Harvey and Olmedo Barria combined on a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts. DSL Mets Blue lost a 16-10 slugfest to the DSL White Sox. Adrian La Rosa had three hits and three RBIs. New York Mets Transactions No Roster Moves Morabito Stars, Santucci Stumbles Before Syracuse Game Suspended Nick Morabito drove in both Mets runs before the rains hit. He led off the game with a home run, and he brought home another run with a groundout in the third. Mets starter Jonathan Santucci failed to get out of the first inning. He was hooked after throwing 36 pitches (19 strikes). He was charged with two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks. Reimer Caps Binghamton's Comeback The Rumble Ponies overcame an early deficit with a pair of three-run innings. They took the lead with three in the fifth and then added on with Reimer's homer. Corey Collins started the fifth-inning rally by drawing a walk. D'Andre Smith doubled to move him to third. Kevin Parada lined a single to right to score Collins. A throwing error on the play allowed Smith to score and move Parada up to second. Mitch Voit reached on a fielding error that moved Parada to third. Marco Vargas bunted into a fielder's choice, switching places with Voit. Vargas then stole second, and Parada scored on an error by Portland's catcher. Dakota Hawkins and Zach Conley piggybacked the start. Each went three innings, Hawkins was touched up for two runs on four hits, while Conley allowed two hits and no walks over three scoreless frames. He was the pitcher of record when Binghamton took the lead. Ronald Hernandez was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Henriquez then walked to force in Meggers. Meggers and Snyder extended Brooklyn's lead with RBI singles in the eighth. 4. Jacob Reimer caught the hitting bug that has been going around at Binghamton. On Thursday, it was his turn to make an opponent sick. Reimer launched a three-run home run in the seventh inning to break open the Rumble Ponies' 10th consecutive victory, a 6-2 triumph over Portland. It was his first long ball since returning from a rehab assignment at High-A Brooklyn on Aug. 4. But even without much slug (two extra-base hits), he has been productive at the plate. He has driven in runs in six of seven games, and the homer gave him 10 RBIs in that stretch. He's up to .300 (9-for-30) after a third consecutive two-hit night. 6. It may have only been in a mid-August minor-league game, but Christopher Morel and Eric Wagaman stuck it to one of their former organizations Wednesday night. The Miami Marlins castoffs hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the ninth inning to rally Syracuse to a 10-9 victory over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Fish’s Triple-A affiliate. The jacks rescued the Mets after they blew a four-run lead in the bottom of the eighth. The Marlins signed Morel as a free agent last Dec. 18 with the idea of trying him at first base. They released him from Jacksonville’s roster on June 26. The Mets signed him to a minor-league contract five days later, and he has responded with 11 home runs in 28 games while filling a super utility role. He has now started at five different positions for them after playing right field Wednesday, adding to first base, second base, third base and left field. Miami traded Wagaman to the Minnesota Twins on Jan. 2. The Mets claimed him off waivers from Minnesota on April 27. He has appeared in 23 games with New York, seeing time at all four corners. Elsewhere in the organization: Binghamton made it nine wins in a row with a 13-5 rout of Portland. Jefferson Rojas drove in three runs, Émilien Pitre and D’Andre Smith each drove in two, and Chris Suero and Billy Amick homered. Brooklyn lost 4-3 in 11 innings at home to Jersey Shore. The Cyclones tied the game in the ninth and 10th. Daiverson Gutierrez had three hits and two RBIs. Starter Emilio Obispo threw five scoreless innings. St. Lucie lost 16-8 to Jupiter after leading 8-7. The Hammerheads scored two runs in the sixth and seven in the eighth. Aiden Robbins, the Mets’ third-round selection in this year’s MLB Draft, had two hits and drove in three runs. 8. It's difficult to not write about the Binghamton Rumble Ponies these days. There's so much to cover with this team. There were three discussion topics from their 16-4 drubbing of Portland on Tuesday alone. The first: Binghamton has now won eight in a row, and it is smothering opponents, with a plus-47 run differential (68-21) during the streak. The Rumble Ponies scored four runs in the second inning and seven more in the sixth Tuesday to put the game away. The second: Jefferson Rojas homered for the first time with Binghamton and drove in three runs. He finished a triple shy of the cycle. The organization's biggest trade-deadline acquisition has had three hits in two of his last three games. The third: RJ Gordon put together his third consecutive quality start, and this one might have been the best. He allowed one earned run over seven innings, walked one, struck out seven, and threw 65 of his 95 pitches for strikes. The club isn't close to Eastern League second-half pennant contention. It's six games out of first place at 18-22. But it's playing like a club that can make a huge run in the final month. Elsewhere in the organization: Syracuse hit four home runs as it defeated Jacksonville 6-3. MJ Melendez, Vidal Brujan, Andy Ibáñez and Nick Morabito went deep. Jonah Tong was inefficient in a no-decision. Brooklyn shut out Jersey Shore 4-0. Nicolas Carreno and three relievers combined on a three-hitter. Ronald Hernandez provided the offense with a third-inning grand slam. St. Lucie lost to Jupiter 3-2. Elian Pena hit two solo home runs for the Mets’ offense. Conner Ware took the loss after giving up a go-ahead, two-run homer in the eighth inning. DSL Mets Blue lost 9-3 to DSL Rangers Blue in a game shortened to six innings because of rain. Yeremy Reyes had two hits, an RBI and a run scored. DSL Mets Orange lost 9-1 to DSL Giants Black. Dayron Oramas drove in the Mets’ run. New York Mets Transactions No Roster Moves Home Runs Carry Syracuse Past Jacksonville The Mets went deep in four consecutive innings to take command. Melendez hit a solo shot in the fourth to give them a 2-1 lead. Bruján connected on a two-run blast in the fifth for a 4-1 advantage. Ibáñez homered in the sixth to make it 5-1. Morabito led off the seventh with a solo shot to put Syracuse up 6-1. The only Mets run that didn't come via the home run scored when Melendez tripled home Ryan Clifford in the second inning. Tong needed 94 pitches to get through four innings on a night where the gametime temperature was 97 degrees. He allowed just one run on four hits, but he walked four and struck out six. He threw 53 strikes and 41 balls. The run came on a home run in the second inning. That left the Mets' bullpen to get the final 15 outs. Austin Warren struck out the side in a perfect fifth inning, which earned him the win. Matt Turner gave up two runs in 1 1/3 innings. Brian Metoyer got the last two outs of the seventh. That's impressive stuff for someone who isn't yet a power guy. Peña has seven homers in 419 plate appearances this season. Ware allowed a sacrifice fly in the fifth, but he entered the eighth with a 2-1 lead. 11. There's no hotter team in the New York Mets' organzation than the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, and that includes the suddenly scorching big-league club. Binghamton has won seven in a row after completing a six-game sweep of Hartford. The Ponies posted a 4-3 triumph over the Yard Goats in the series finale Sunday, capping a week in which they won 23-3 and 1-0 on consecutive nights. Binghamton outscored Hartford 43-13 overall, a margin skewed by the 20-run win, but the 2.2 runs allowed per game was legit. The Rumble Ponies went with a piggyback pitching tandem of Channing Austin and Cristofer Gomez on Sunday, and the strategy worked exceptionally well, The two held Hartford to one run and one hit -- a solo home run -- over the first five innings, with nine strikeouts and no walks. Those two were long gone from the game when Billy Amick hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to break a 1-1 tie. Amick has hit five home runs in seven games with Binghamton since being acquired from the Minnesota Twins in the A.J. Minter trade. Elsewhere in the organization: Syracuse lost 5-4 to Columbus. The Mets stranded the winning run on first in the bottom of the ninth. Nick Lorusso homered and drove in three runs. His RBI single in the ninth cut the deficit to one. Brooklyn broke a tie with two runs in the top of the ninth and went on to beat Wilmington 8-6. Trey Snyder and Yonatan Henriquez notched the deciding RBIs for the Cyclones. St. Lucie dropped a 5-4 decision to Daytona. The Mets trailed 5-0 before getting on the board. Kuhio Aloy and Simon Juan each drove in two runs. Syracuse Gets Big Day From Lorusso In Loss Lorusso gave the Mets a 2-0 lead in the second with a two-run homer to left-center. He drove in Christopher Morel ahead of him. Morel singled with one out. Columbus answered with a run in the third, two runs in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead. Syracuse got a run back in the bottom of the fifth when Ryan Clifford was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in Andy Ibáñez. The Mets trimmed the deficit to 5-4 in the ninth when Ibáñez doubled and Lorusso singled him home. Clifford struck out looking with runners on first and second to end the game. Clifford took the golden sombrero (four Ks) in the game. Ofreidy Gómez was effective as the opener. He allowed just a solo home run over 2 1/3 innings, walking none and striking out two. 13. Jefferson Rojas needed a few days, but he has now delivered his first big moment as a Mets prospect. The top-100 infielder lashed a go-ahead, two-run triple in the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday to push Double-A Binghamton to a come-from-behind 6-4 victory over Hartford. The hit completed a 3-for-4, three-RBI night. Rojas was 1-for-11 in his first three games with the club after being acquired from the Chicago Cubs at the trade deadline for Clay Holmes and Tyrone Taylor. Rojas played third base and batted third, behind two other newcomers: shortstop Mitch Voit (promoted from High-A Brooklyn) and second baseman Emilien Pitre (acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in the Freddy Peralta trade). The three combined for seven hits and four runs scored to go with Rojas’ RBIs. Another recent infield arrival, Billy Amick (acquired from the Minnesota Twins), hit a two-run homer, his fourth dinger in six games. Add in holdovers Jacob Reimer and Marco Vargas, both ranked in Grand Central Mets’ soon-to-be-updated Top 20, and the Ponies have some serious horsepower on the dirt. Elsewhere in the organization: We’re switching up the usual order to highlight Mets DSL Blue’s 5-0, seven-inning no-hitter against DSL Giants Black. Josbel Torrez (three innings) and Esteban Mejia (four innings) combined on it. It wasn’t the cleanest no-no; the two issued three walks and hit a batter between them, and another batter reached on an error. It still counts. The Mets took the lead with three runs in the top of the fifth. Royner Bravo hit a two-run triple, and Michalle Mercedes drove in Bravo with another triple. The Mets added on in the seventh. Jesus Minaya hit a solo home run and Frank Moreno hit an RBI single. Syracuse out-slugged Columbus 13-7. Ronny Mauricio went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, five RBIs and four runs scored. Jose Ramos homered twice. Brooklyn lost a doubleheader at Wilmington, 6-5 and 4-0. Sammy Stafura and Aidan Smith combined for five hits, four runs and three RBIs in Game 1. Brooklyn had three hits in Game 2. St. Lucie split a doubleheader with Daytona, winning the opener 3-1 and losing the nightcap 15-7. Julio Zayas provided the offense in Game 1 with a three-run home run in the fourth inning. He ended his night as a mop-up reliever in Game 2. Mets DSL Orange edged the DSL Angels 3-2. 15. Julio Zayas is experiencing a mini-hot streak at the plate, a stretch that has him also hitting the long ball. Zayas hit his second home run in three games, a two-run, walk-off drive in the bottom of the ninth inning, to power Single-A St. Lucie to a 2-0 victory over Daytona on Friday. The 20-year-old first baseman/catcher has hit safely in all four of his games this month, and is 8-for-17 in that stretch. The run has raised his season slash line to .256/.356/.381 (.744 OPS) in 343 plate appearances. He now has eight home runs on the season. He's in his fourth pro season since signing with the Mets out of the Dominican Republic in 2023, but his first for a full-season affiliate. He spent his first season in the DSL and then the next two in the FCL, before graduating to St. Lucie this year. He's looking strong heading into the final month of the season. Elsewhere in the organization: Syracuse held off Columbus 6-5. The Mets broke a tie in the sixth when D’Andre Smith swiped third on the front end of a double steal and continued home as the catcher’s throw sailed into center field. Binghamton blanked Hartford 1-0 one night after scoring 23 runs. Kevin Parada drove in the run with a double in the bottom of the eighth. Noah Hall struck out 10 over six innings. Brooklyn’s game at Wilmington was postponed because of rain. The teams will make it up Saturday as part of a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET. DSL Mets Blue fell 8-6 to DSL Blue Jays Red. Mauricio Nunez allowed no hits and an unearned run in 2 1/3 innings of relief. DSL Mets Orange downed the DSL Rangers 3-2. Jodarlin Perez struck out four in three scoreless innings of relief. 17. The term “balanced scoring” is generally reserved for basketball, but it applied to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on a historic Thursday night. All nine batters had at least one hit (seven had at least two) and one run scored in a 23-3 beatdown of the Hartford Yard Goats. Eight of the nine drove in at least one run. Seven drew at least one walk. The team scored in seven of their eight innings at bat en route to shattering the single-game record for the current Binghamton franchise, which began play in 1992. Of course, there were some “leading scorers”: Mitch Voit: 5-for-6, five runs scored, two RBIs. He is still hotter than the sun. The five hits tied a franchise record. 18. One of the downsides of a team trading most of its best relievers at the deadline is that the replacements are either pushes or downgrades, rarely upgrades. That’s where the New York Mets stand with their bullpen after the conclusion of the 2026 trade season. The outlook beyond closer Devin Williams for the final two months is grim. Over a 72-hour span that ended Monday afternoon, Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns shipped out A.J. Minter, Huascar Brazoban, Brooks Raley and Luke Weaver in separate trades. The pitchers who came back in those deals are not major league-ready, save for possibly 27-year-old Zach Franklin, who was part of the return for Brazoban from the Chicago White Sox. So, that leaves holdovers on the 40-man roster and healthy arms at Triple-A Syracuse to fill the gaps for the remainder of the season. Let's figure out how the Mets will use their collection of pitchers to get from now to the conclusion of the campaign. The Rehabbers Dedniel Nunez, Austin Warren Nunez and Warren will be the most solid options if they come back strong from Tommy John surgery and a forearm strain, respectively. Both have been rehabbing in the minors the past few weeks. Nunez was becoming a trusted piece when his elbow blew out a second time last year. 19. Image courtesy of © Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images One of the downsides of a team trading most of its best relievers at the deadline is that the replacements are either pushes or downgrades, rarely upgrades. 21. John Smith III is out to show that draft position shouldn’t mean much when the players get between the lines. Smith is off to a hot start with Single-A St. Lucie after being taken in the 19th round (570th overall) of this year’s MLB Draft out of the University of Central Florida. Through his first four pro games, he has a .294/.350/.706 slash line ((1.056 OPS) and two home runs. His hit capped the fourth comeback in as many innings by the Mets. Smith sat out Game 1, but he went 2-for-5 with three RBIs in Game 2. 22. The roster reconstructions of the past two weeks concluded with the passing of MLB's trade deadline. Now, the New York Mets' full-season minor-league affiliates can go back to worrying just about development and not also about who's moving where. Eleven prospects were acquired in the six trades New York made in the 72 hours prior to the deadline. The first two, Billy Amick and Bruin Agbayani, joined the organization last week. The rest were activated Tuesday. That meant a lot of introductions, and a lot of debuts. A quick summary of how the newcomers fared: Syracuse: Right-hander Zach Franklin (acquired from the Chicago White Sox in the Huascar Brazoban trade) allowed two runs and three hits over 1 2/3 innings in the Mets' 15-7 loss to Columbus. Binghamton: Jefferson Rojas (acquired from the Chicago Cubs for Clay Holmes and Tyrone Taylor) did not play in the Rumble Ponies' 6-3 victory over Hartford. Emilien Pitre (acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in the Freddy Peralta trade) went 2-for-4. Right-handers Gabe Davis (Brazoban) and Gary Gill Hil (Peralta) did not pitch. Brooklyn: Aidan Smith (Peralta) was 2-for-4 with a run scored in the Cyclones' 7-1 win over Wilmington. John Spikerman (acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies in the Brooks Raley trade) was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Sammy Stafura (acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates for Luke Weaver) did not play. Right-hander Luke Gabrysh (Raley) did not pitch. St. Lucie has Agbayani on its roster and was untouched by the Sunday-Monday flurry. The Mets were rained out Tuesday against Daytona. The game will be made up Saturday as part of a doubleheader. DSL Mets Blue pulled away late to beat the DSL Tigers 13-6. Royner Bravo had four hits, an RBI and two runs scored. DSL Orange blew out the DSL Twins 14-6 in eight innings. Wandy Asigen reached base four times, drove in a run and scored three runs. 23. New York Mets Transactions New York Mets recalled RHP Xzavion Curry from Syracuse Mets. New York Mets designated RHP Bryce Conley for assignment. New York Mets activated RHP Dedniel Núñez from the 60-day injured list. New York Mets activated RHP Chayce McDermott. New York Mets sent DH MJ Melendez outright to Syracuse Mets. New York Mets sent RHP Kevin Herget outright to Syracuse Mets. New York Mets recalled LHP Jefry Yan from Syracuse Mets. New York Mets selected the contract of OF Cristian Pache from Syracuse Mets. New York Mets selected the contract of LHP Nate Lavender from Syracuse Mets. Syracuse Done In By 11-Run First Inning Columbus put up an 11-spot in the opening frame, most of it against starter Dakota Hawkins, who was up from Double-A Binghamton. Hawkins recorded two outs and was charged with eight runs on five hits (three of them home runs) and three walks, Ofreidy Gómez, Brian Metoyer, Franklin and Dylan Ross followed Hawkins to the mound before outfielder Mike Tauchman mopped up with two scoreless innings. Syracuse mounted a mini-comeback in the bottom of the first with two-run homers by Christopher Morel and Nick Lorusso. Lorusso's homer was his first in Triple-A after a promotion from Binghamton. D'Andre Smith drove in a run and scored a run in his first game since being promoted from Binghamton. Another promoted player, Jose Ramos, had two hits and a run scored. 24. Now, he waits to find out who will trade for him. The Mets will be off in Cleveland on Monday, so there’ll be no formal hugwatch. Holmes’ market appeared to lose bidders over the weekend when the Chicago White Sox acquired right-hander Luis Castillo from the Seattle Mariners on Saturday and the Chicago Cubs obtained right-hander Kevin Gausman from the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. Brooklyn made him the winning pitcher in his assumed Mets finale with two runs in the first, three runs in the third and a run in the fourth. Recently promoted Randy Guzman and the still-rehabbing Andy Ibáñez went back-to-back with their first Brooklyn home runs in that three-run third. Ibáñez went 12-for-20 (.600) in five games this week. 25. Three of the New York Mets’ four full-season minor league affiliates played Sunday, and for each one, an intriguing story emerged. For Syracuse, it was Christopher Morel hitting three home runs, including a go-ahead, three-run moonshot in the sixth inning that powered the Mets to a series-ending 9-7 victory at Rochester. For Binghamton, it was the latest episode of the Mitch Voit Experience. The infield prospect homered, doubled twice, singled and drove in five runs to cap a huge first week at Double-A as the Rumble Ponies stomped Reading 9-3. For Brooklyn, it was Clay Holmes making his final rehab start before Monday’s MLB trade deadline. It was almost surely Holmes’ last appearance for the Mets’ organization, at least this year. The Cyclones held off Winston-Salem 6-5. St. Lucie didn’t get in on the fun. Its game against Dunedin was canceled because of inclement weather. Both DSL Mets squads, Blue and Orange, were off. Further intrigue came from New York on Sunday and will again on Monday. The full-season clubs should look vastly different when they return to action Tuesday, thanks to the trades the big-league club is expected to complete before the 6 p.m. ET deadline. Binghamton and Brooklyn are already feeling the effects of Freddy Peralta being traded Sunday to the Tampa Bay Rays for outfielder Aidan Smith, right-hander Gary Gill Hill and second baseman Émilien Pitre. Hill and Pitre were playing at Double-A in the Rays’ chain, while Smith was at High-A. Morel Mashes In Syracuse's Slugfest Win Make it eight home runs and a 1.174 OPS in 21 games with Syracuse for the former Cub, Ray and Marlin. Morel started his hat trick with a two-run drive in the third inning that gave the Mets a 5-1 lead. After Rochester scored five times in the bottom of the fifth to take a 7-5 advantage, he teed off in the sixth for homer No. 2. With Zack Short and Christian Arroyo aboard, he sent a Justin Lawrence pitch out of sight to put Syracuse back in front 8-7. Now, he waits to find out who will trade for him. The Mets will be off in Cleveland on Monday, so there’ll be no formal hugwatch.
