  1. Someone's in love with Wright. Not that I blame him.
  2. Young David's Grab It has to be a nice play when the play-by-play guy and the color guy both give orgasmic shouts.
  3. I wouldn't trust Nike to create a medical device even if they delivered it a month early. There's no where else that he can get this shoe made?
  4. Yet he's still going at it in the WBC. I hope the Mets have a good 2007.
  5. KC. All I said was that you get touchy if people tell you what to post. I'm not angry because of it, I don't have a beef because of it, I'm not touchy because of it. I was merely stating it. Please continue to post and enjoy yourself.
  6. Touchie beef? I don't have one. And I don't care if you don't care.
  7. I knew if I said that you wouldn't like it. You are very touchy when people tell you what to post. But you're right, no one died and made me king of pictures of hotties.
  8. Yo KC. Make your Natalie Portman pic smaller.
  9. I should clairfy, I don't think there's anything wrong with a kid donating money. But it sounds like this kid saved up $1,000, which I'm guessing took a while, and then just decided to give it all away. Keep it man. It's not your job to support your school. Throw them $25.
  10. I'm not complaining. Just stating that normal 13 year olds spend their own money.
  11. Why not keep it? He's 13 years old. _________________ This post had the designation 65) Ron Hunt
  12. Maybe I'm just selfish, but what idiot donates a grand to their school when they're 13? What a loser.
  13. It would be nice. I've wondered if that's something that can be learned. Not sure that Rickey can teach it, or anyone really.
  14. irish, you have to get over hating the Yankees so much. You're embarrasing me. You make Bret look right.
  15. Frayed Knot wrote: ]I just finalized my summer vacation plans the other day, and now I almost regret that it doesn't include Pittsburgh! That might be the first time that sentence has ever been uttered. More and more these days I've been hearing that Pittsburgh is underrated and is actually a nice place to visit. Camden and PNC are the next two parks that I plan to visit.

    ]Soler Power I like it.
  17. ]Kaz may not have piled up stolen bases, but he has stolen at an 83% success rate between injuries --- better even than Rickey's rate. Damn. Maybe I should look up some numbers before posting. Who the heck was I thinking of that has speed but can't steal bases?
  18. abogdan wrote: Am I the only one who'd rather have a 83-year old Rickey as the 5th OF than Endy Chavez, Tike Redman, or Ice Williams? No. I'm guessing that he's only coaching in hopes that he can parlay it into a shot at playing. I doubt coaching will hold his interest for long. Not that I know him or anything.
  19. Nymr83 wrote: it is PATHETIC that a guy who doesnt run hard on groundballs and watches what he thinks is a homer become a single that shoulda been a double/triple gets to coach. this guy is the epitome of the "me me me" ballplayer and the LAST guy who should be instructing anyone. there are hundreds of ex-players more worthy of this job. Rickey had a incredible influence on Roger Cedeno in '99. If that is an indication of his coaching ability then he is the FIRST player who should be teaching baserunning. What is PATHETIC is someone like Matsui, who has excellent speed but can't steal bases. We SHOULD bring RICKEY up TO the MAJORS to HELP with THE varsity.
  20. You've got no reason to apologize Valadius. I don't see how anyone could've been offended by your post.
  21. ]We sound kind of stupid from time to time, trying to voice the argument that the Yankees win too many pennants, or are ungracious winners, or that they spend too much money on acquiring quality players for their team, and on and on. Who is this we? I don't think you'll find one person on this forum who posted the line "The Yankees win too many pennants." I doubt seriously you'll find "ungracious winners" either. As for the "too much money", everyone here realizes that the Mets have the 3rd highest payroll. ] then all we Yankee-haters would have to cling to would be that sour-grapes winning-sucks stuff on our side, *sigh* Can you spell strawman? I think the point you were trying to make is that we, as Mets fan, use all of the above that I've quoted as things to say to avoid saying this: ]No, it's that he's such an obnoxious, insensitive, overbearing, scowling, self-righteous, micromanaging, tyrannical, meddling, superior son of a bitch that gives strength to Yankee-haters everywhere. I really disagree. But then maybe you have sniffed out the real reason behind everything a Met fan says about the Yankees. You could have us all figured out.
  22. No because Davey Johnson reminds us of the time when the Mets were winning, so he never had a lack of guts and management gave a crap about fans and blah blah blah.
  23. We haven't had a red light battle in a long time.
  24. It ain't so. It wasn't a voice of reason, but rather another way to take a shot at Met fans.
