I'm watching and think Chuck has lost his mind..............then , yep , can't wait. Same here. I wanted to show some other people but apparently I'm the last person on Earth to see this.

3. I think it's because boxing hits a larger international demographic then a baseball or American football movie would. And because of people like me who are a sucker for them. I enjoyed the hell out of this movie, even though the actress who played his mother turned out to be annoying as hell and crazy as a loon. I wish I had abs like Marky's. Vic, have you ever considered a thread on Wahlberg's career?

5. One of the secretly exciting things about this forum is opening a movie forum post from Vic Sage.
6. Vaughn coming in from the pen now. I couldn't find a thread, apologies if there already is one. "Goin' somewhere meat?" "'Bout ninety feet."
7. Airplane should've battled Ferris for the title of most overrated movie of the eighties.
8. AG/DC wrote: "She wouldnt have to worry bout no titties for the rest of her life." is sure better writing than "THEN I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL!" Nerfherder.
9. Ferris [u:7y0hcfsi]Bueller[/u:7y0hcfsi] deservers about 10% of the replay it gets. Seeing cartoons walking around on city streets was pretty cool. I get choked up every time I see that shoe die.
10. Is there already a thread for this? The scenes with Don Cheadle are my favorites.

12. Julianne Moore is convincing as a coked-up porn star. She is not convincing as grizzled veteran FBI agent. In this or any other movie. I really can't get enough Anthony Hopkins in my life. "Bella ragazza" was by far the best moment of this movie.
13. Vic, you should know I got hired as a film critic and have been passing your posts off as my own work. Great stuff.
14. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Yeah, she still looks terrific. Not quite.

Nymr83 wrote: i know i'm the predictor of doom and gloom for sequels so here i go again: this movie wont live up to its predecessors and the enormous hype it will receive, people will be leaving the theaters as disappointed as they were after Star Trek V. But Star Trek VI was great! I'm glad that your prediction came out wrong. I liked the movie. And it really didn't get that much hype. Certainly nothing compared to Spiderman II or the Star Wars prequels.
16. A Boy Named Seo wrote: I voted it a 7. The dialogue was certainly over-the-top and kind of Gilmore Girls-ish. But it was still funny (mostly), was built around a very good story, and some of the performances were awesome. Ellen Page and Jason Bateman were great. Garner and Janney kicked ass, too. George Michael may be a one-trick pony right now, but his one trick is damn funny and endearing. I've listened to the soundtrack now and think some of the songs (I'm thinking mostly of that Kimya Dawson girl) were quirky and just the kind of shit a 16-year old girl would latch on to. That's all. And some of the music is pretty cool anyway. The Kinks, the Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, and "Piazza New York Catcher" by Belle and Sebastian. That's a good soundtrack, people. You guys need to lighten up or something. Swear to blog. The important question is....You watch Gilmore Girls?!?
17. Edgy DC wrote: Tom Hanks plays who Tom Hanks wants to play. When Opey first heard that Jim Lovell was publishing a memoir, he made a personal visit to appeal for the film rights. Lovell, kind of full of himself, asks who was in Cunningham's mind as the actor to play him. When told of Tom Hanks' interest, Lovell scoffed, and pointed out to the bald big shot that he looked a lot like Kevin Costner as a younger man. Red reminded him that Hanks had won two Oscars in the previous two years. Case quickly closed. I've read a lot on the making of this movie. From what I've read, "scoffed" is waaaay too harsh a word. Where did you read it?
18. I have no idea if this is even a comic book movie, let alone a Marvel comic book movie. But I just saw a preview for Hancock (Will Smith). Two disclaimers: One, I get overly excited for cool previews, even though they aren't correlated with movie quality. Two, I have have a huge man-crush on Will Smith. I am fired up for this movie after that preview (July 2).
19. Q: What will happen when two all-time great Dominican pitchers pull out their cocks?
20. I liked your handle AG
21. Cute movie. Hilarious, Carnac. sc = zero
22. Do NOT see this movie if you get motion sickness. I generally do not, but I couldn't enjoy this because of Dizzycam and I felt sick afterwards. It disrupted me to the point where I still felt dizzy walking to the car and driving home. I think there was a good movie in there otherwise but I really couldn't get past the camera.
23. Saw a teaser preview at Cloverfield today.
