  1. Rest in peace Herb Moford. You were never portrayed as a Met on a baseball card. And to me, thats ashame.
  2. Mr Valentine, you had a good run. Im kinda surprised more didnt contribute to BobbyVs week. Thank you to those who did. In any case, who will be our next Met pic of the week?

Whenever I spoke to my brothers about getting him Id call him "DeLuca" and theyd say "you mean LoDuca", and Id say "yes,DeLuca" and theyd say, "no, LoDuca," and Id say"yea,........DeLuca." wuzzupwidat!?
  4. I found this move rather surprising, being that it reminded me of the bad taste I have in my mouth to this day when I hear the guys name. Somethings are better left forgotten. I read up on him tho. He seems to have paid his dues.
  5. First thing he did was fire the Reds GM. wonder how that went? Monday morning at the office: O'Brien: " Hey, nice to meet you." Castellini: " Hey, nice to have not known you. Bye,bye"
  6. Id wish him well and thank him for what he was for my team, while he was on it. Years from now if this in any way cost the Mets a hat in the HOF, then I may have something to say contrary to that. I may be furious. But even then I wont blame Mike.

  9. This ones easy. Dislike as it stands now.
  10. ahhhhhh, the passion of the Met fan. Personally, I think Anna Benson put one of those "Youll rue the day you traded me!" voodo hex curses on all Met fans. She's a witch, I tell ya.

Amazin. Amazin, amazin, amazin.
  12. ......as a matter of fact, Ill even delete that astute observation above b4 i crash. i just had to say something tho.....lol,i just had to.
  13. *bad unspoken joke about Anna Benson quote deleted as it was meant only for the late night crews eyes to see.* Carry on.
  14. DocTee wrote: wow. great shots. as to their "order": when Bobby's getting the herave-ho you can see the umpire's glass falling from his head... in the "later" shot, they are in his hands, FWIW You did SK and that is a great pic lubitul, worth seeing twice Thats what made me change the original order i had em in. The damn sunglasses. The way I 1st had it made it look like he tossed BobbyV and then pushed him to keep him from steppin on the sunglasses, lol. I figure they went from his hat, to the floor, to his hand. But i dont see em at all in the last pic. I saw this actually happen on TV, and all I remember is that I didnt think Bobby was going too far and needed a push back from the ump. But maybe he had something with garlic in it for lunch. I dunno.

"There are always guys coming and going. Part of the business," he said. "But it's good to get some strong arms coming in." I find this interesting.
  16. ="seawolf17"] I know you always have the av pic match the name,....... this one cracked me up wolf.
  17. Does anyone know if these are set up in the right order? [

Ill be happy to discuss this in retrospect. We can go all the way back and start with Amos Otis, if you like. The Mets have made some of the most horrendous trades in the history of baseball. I wont deny it.
  23. Bret Sabermetric wrote: ="Zvon"]To early to wiegh in on the yet.. Yes, kids, and remember CPF official policy: Go directly from "Too early to weigh in yet, all the information has not been gathered" to "Who the hell cares about news from years ago? Get with the program." There is no middle stage. If you do not move directly through the above stages, you will be made to feel like an idiot. We don't want any loitering around here. lmao. I just hate typing stuff for the sake of typing stuff. Ill save my time and finger strength for when im not speculating, but have a truly formed opinion. Theres no official policy, and theres plenty of gray area for those who wish to analize the in between. Ill save my review until the shows over.
  24. interesting. To early to wiegh in on the yet. Dont want to be makin up a report card until the marking periods over. Please keep this thread up and amended. And there better be more action, or Im going to have to schedule a meeting with Omars parents.
  25. Bret Sabermetric wrote: What if Anna Benson learns that Kris had an affair while he was a Met? Would she still screw everybody on the Mets, including coaches? Or would the Orioles be the beneficiaries? I think she'd do both teams, and any team along the road.
