  1. If I were him I'd never admit that its pronounced Jerko. There must be a bunch of ways you can pronounce that spelling.
  2. Its baseball time again. Time for my (now) annual Met wallpaper. Full sized version here: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/pNiGaHkMSel5PvQKKlH6QdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink It looks exactly like this, only bigger: I have a number of versions and I'll post them here. The players pictured are swappable with any other Met players. I'll update it as the season plays out. Alotta work went into this one. Here's some source material. Whoever took that pic of Citifield I thank you. Lets enjoy the season together again and LETS =#40BF00]GO =#4040BF]METS!!!

  4. Cowgill just ruined a bunch of my predictions.
  5. The Second Spitter wrote: Awesome start. That was just a dribbler with some bounce.
  6. Read this in the paper today and consider it the best article written about our guys this off season. Mets must be smarter once they start spending http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/mets/mets_must_be_smarter_once_they_start_UqaVxMfedx29ZvNer68RWL

This came up in conversation with my brothers today. And heres my question (now you have to figure this could never happen cuz of the Skanks but): If the Mets were forced to switch to the A.L., could you, would you still remain a Met fan?

(Both mine and his, relative to mine.) I'm more upset about this. You feel you are getting too old to be buying Met jerseys? Ridiculous! Seriously, I didn't expect much from Johan this season (I did hope for the best). I also didn't expect this current scenario, which sucks moose. THANKS FOR THE GREAT MEMORY, JOHAN!
  10. X-rays on Hef are negative.
  11. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Throwing elbow or glove elbow? Throwing. Beltran hit it.
  12. Swan Swan H wrote: X-rays are positive. Broken wrist, surgery possible. Holy shite! I had this game on TV but only watched little bits of it. Missed that. Did see his fine catch in the 1st. Found this out when I picked up todays paper. I'm not sure why but I've always been okay with players who have great gloves but not great bats. I always felt at certain positions a team could afford that. On the other hand a good hitting player who can't field on the MLB level really bugs me, no matter what position. Don't know what that's all about, haven't giving it much thought.
  13. Good game. Dudas homer was a ripped liner. Edgins day could have been a lot worse. He did get out of a jam there.
  14. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: Ladies and gentlemen, and Mets fans of all ages, please give a warm Opening Day welcome to... the 2013 Mets training staff! lol. I was thinking the entire medical staff. When I googled Giant Size Man Thing to make the Wright stuff I was surprised at the amount of GIANT SIZE titles. I was somewhat into comics as a kid but don't remember seeing any of them. Or Man Thing, for that matter. I thought GIANT SIZE was part of his actual name, but now I'll assume that it was just a comic with more pages than regular size.

  16. Frayed Knot wrote: P.S. I'm pretty sure my father illustrated some of the GSMT stuff way back when. That's way kool! Please tell us more about your dad. I always thought working in comics would be a blast. TY Sharon:)
  17. Duda 2fer2 with a double. The triple by DD was sweet. He has a lil pop, who knew. Turner looking good and I do think if David can't start opening day he should get third base. Get that man more at-bats!
  18. Has an excellent, healthy year. Becomes team captain and chooses not to wear the "C" because he says its "too gawdy". He does, however, insist on wearing this cap during games. The "Captain America" nickname will stick until Grimms nickname goes viral a few weeks into the season (Dave starts hot) and we are forced to combine the two nicknames in a number of various ways. It took me 4 hours to make the Capt America Wright image so you will be seeing it until it makes you sick.
  19. Duda's boomer was opposite field, good sign. Harvey looked fine. Travis-d with a nice smart block of home plate to deny a run. I'm beginning to think that the "d" stands for (lottsa) doubles.
  20. Nice to see you guys working together. Links working here.
  21. Wha? If your Irish you DON'T wear green? I dunno about that Kevin.
