To me that would have been significant . I realize that it's not his fault he was pulled earlier than he had to be, but that's the way it goes.
  2. It's amazin' that Hunt was bummed about being traded away from the Mets. I wish I got to see him play as a Met (saw him as an Expo). From Wiki: In November 1966 Hunt and Jim Hickman were traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Tommy Davis. Hunt, heartbroken over the deal, batted .263 in 1967. And it sure would have been nice for him to have been with the 69 squad and taken that ride, but who knows what happens if the events set in motion didn't move as they did. Tommy Davis played for the Mets for one season, a decent one too. After batting .302 with 16 home runs and 73 RBIs in 1967 Davis was traded, this time to the Chicago White Sox in a six-player deal, with the Mets acquiring Tommie Agee and Al Weistwo men who would play major roles in the Miracle Mets winning the 1969 World Series. And the stuff about Swoboda in '66, his bad fielding and all, and the fact that he was there to make that catch in game 4....just amazin'.
  3. My top 10 (in no order): Spaceman Best Friend Think About Your Troubles Old Forgotten Soldier You're breakin my heart I Guess the Lord Must Be in New York City Simon Smith and the Amazing Dancing Bear Without You Everybody's Talkin' One My list will be similar in that some here may not have heard of many of them. I'm I big Harry fan and I'll still have to go check out Old Forgotten Soldier because I don't remember that one at all. Also: Without You, Everybody's Talking, & One are such great songs but I'll be hard pressed to get all 3 in my top ten. Took a listen to my old cover of TAYTroubles and it's better then I remembered. It don't suck. It's way too long tho. Five minutes with 3 of those minutes me howling like a dog. I'll take it into my music editor and try to shave it down to 3 mins.

  12. But still. Well, that's why I'm not a manager.

  14. Secrets out: Austin Johnson really is a Met fan. WaitWhat!? Gee starts the inning with a K and Shorty pulls him.
  15. Aw Duds. U were big there. Adams would have had to make a hell of a play.
  16. Ha! Romines ugly.

  19. Another run would be freakin huge. I'm feeling a lil nervous for the first time this whole series.
  20. Re the booth:Throw him out there and let him pitch until he hits a bump. And in 90% of the situations, that to me is if a guy reaches first in a one run game.
  21. This performance by Mr Gee. Jeeze, what do you say? 11Ks, 83 pitches after 7 inn.

  23. It would be ironic if this game ended 2-1 and nothing exciting happened between now and then.
