Bales gonna be a hard act to follow for anyone. I'm a lifelong (since before Adam West) batfan and I am just as passionate about the bat as I am about the Mets. But the Mets are real. Batman isn't. People imagine and reimagine the character. I observe and sometimes I love whats done and sometimes I hate it. I give a shit but just not on a scale with other more serious fans. I just enjoy the fact that Batman is up there and being made in movie form. There was a long time there between the 60s Batman and Keaton. All that empty bat screen time, that's what really sucked. Everyone says that Affleck is this way or that way and because of other roles not fit to play this one. Batman is a great juicy established role. So now we'll see if Affleck can act. I've seen Affleck in many other things and from the characters he played I think Batman will be a departure for him (I have never seen Daredevil-well, a few minutes on TV once). This role will take a special performance. Does he have it in him? We'll see. If he don't, yea, bummer, itll suck. And until they make another (they will, even if it takes 20 years) I'll just pop in the last two and watch em, so far the best Batman in the movies imo. I just hope they don't go the camp/humor route with this one. I want this to be epically serious.
