LF-Conforto/Cespedes CF-Smith/Lagares RF-Nimmo This is starting to look like the '69 team. You don't want Cespedes OR Conforto to be platoon players - and certainly not in one with each other!! I agree with FK, especially in regards to Conforto. I kinda like: LF: Conforto CF: Nimmo RF: Yo @90 to 100%

If Nimmo-for-Gomes is an option now, that doesn't mean it will still be an option next summer. I feel somewhat pacified.

^That's the one with Chico. I love it.

Nimmo is higher on my MVP list than Cespedes. Of course, not a 100% Yo, but I don't think we'll ever see that again. Really hope he proves me wrong.

deBATE and both Wright covers that capture this sad and classically memorable moment: [fimg=500:1l9306eb]https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3mZ8k_wtG0A/W7MVcpV5RgI/AAAAAAAA0Ho/jDALhNS6b4gH2Pd9jAq04D5jV1Wrr0VrgCLcBGAs/s1600/mfcDavid%2BWright%2BTribute%2BSet-1956%2Bborder-%2528test%2B2%2529-z18.png[/fimg:1l9306eb]

Benjamin Grimm wrote: You're overlooking Mallex Smith also coming to the Mets. 40 steals and 10 triples in 2018 with Tampa. Would add some speed to a slow-footed team. I don't know if that's enough to make this a good deal, but you asked what you were missing. Also: Smith is 25 years old, four years away from free agency. .296/.367/.406 in 141 games in 2018. I like what Smith would bring.

I was almost going to abstain from this one. The first Thank Todd pulled me back in.

Centerfield wrote: Sandy throwing Cespedes under the bus was a dick move then. But knowing what we know now, it's indefensible. The guy is battling a crippling pain in both of his heels and Sandy is surprised? I wonder how much of that was actually him and how much of that was the owners putting him up to it. This might belong in a better place but I can't find it. Nice words. We need action! [tweet] [/tweet]

Yes, tough month. Finger and Fired Up. Fired Up includes the Citi fire, our future all star shortstop, and...."Mets Torch Braves!" The only thing better than that would have been "Mets Phuck Phils".
