What's Duda got to do with things? He's the only guy in that inning who DIDN'T make an error! IMO it would help if he knew the proper way to stretch. He actually made that play look worse. And played correctly he could have gotten that call. Except he never even touched the ball in that whole inning. There were five ground balls hit but none of them were thrown to him. Hell, most of them weren't thrown to anyone on edit: yeah there was that pointless relay throw - but the runner was about nine feet past the bag by the time the ball got there. Yea it was the Campbell play. I consider that crucial, but I should probably look at a replay before I say things like that. I looked. It wasn't as apparent. But I'll stand by the observation. And I know there were 3 errors in the inning, thankyouverymuch.

Looks like it. I have faith in Duda on grounders and whatnot but his footwork around the bag, like on that one, is atrocious. Get Keith down there to work with him.

I think that kind of reversal is freakin' ridiculous regardless of when he challenged it. Whenever replay rules are proposed the selling point is always that it'll only be used to correct the obviously blown calls. But, inevitably, it winds up getting used for micro-dissecting plays that nobody thinks were wrong in the first place. I would prefer that umps saw these things with the eyes in their heads. Now that one, that was tough to catch at real speed. And he was off the bag. This is no surprise to me in that they have been watching and talking about how review could effect the "after" slide. Not sure if it was during a steal or an extra base hit. Course I'm okay with it here because it went for us. If the runner was a Met I would be bitchin'. I tip my cap to Collins.
