  1. I guess it was the thing to do but I would not have pulled Syndergaard there. He could have gotten a little more work in. I don't feel no comeback in this one. I think I'm just in shock, seeing Noah repeat that pitching performance we saw from them last night. Gary's right. In the same series! After 115 years! sheesh.
  2. This ones going south of the border. That curve ball didn't totally suck. He looked to screw it into the ground and Norris somehow got it. 2 run blast. If Noah does that thing the Padre pitcher did yesterday I'll be visibly upset. 7-1 [fimg=10:3028icmz]http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/swinging-friar.gif[/fimg:3028icmz] How does C.B. Fuckbrains keep his job? Worst ump I've every seen, consistently horrid. OE: K, I'm visibly upset. Don't look at me.
  3. I think Plawecki's just bushed.
  4. Shit. I thought we caught a break there. But nope, another triple. 5-1 [fimg=10:3lqaptu5]http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/swinging-friar.gif[/fimg:3lqaptu5]
  5. How long can Tejeda sustain this level of play? Wow, almost a great play by T. I missed half the opening intro. Was there any timetable put on Wrights return? 1-0 [fimg=20:30su6zhn]http://minot43.homestead.com/files/Mr_Met.gif[/fimg:30su6zhn]
  6. Better that than the roof of the car, which I have done two too many times.
  7. That looks like Richard Deacon, most known as Mel Cooley on the Dick Van Dyke show... Very good and thank you. I don't think that guy ever looked young. He will be forever linked in my mind with the dawn of microwave ovens. His name was in the corner of the other ad but I couldn't make it out. This ad says: " Richard Deacon, star of his own cooking show, Deacon Does It In The Kitchen." He had a cooking show? In the days of 13 channels? The Blue Jays slapped the Nats around and are now leading 7-3, in Washington (said Toronto earlier). Their dining room? Holy schmoly, look at those HUGE dials. Quick Quiz: Who's the actor in the ad? (More like a question since I don't know the answer) OE: The reason I came to this thread was to say that the Nats took a lead in Toronto. Harper's getting ridiculous. Missed a HR by a few inches.
  9. Tejada: .5 Murphy: 3 Cuddyer: .1 Flores: .5 Ceciliani: .2 Lagares: .1 deGrom: 5.5 Gilmartin: .1

  11. Padres with only 2 hits. And you see/hear all the Mets fans there? Very nice.
  12. Damn! Murph hits a screamin' mee-mee right into some Padre leather. He woulda been 5 fer 5.
  13. Did he actually jump to catch that? That was a friggin' bullet!
  14. All the Padres are getting thrown out of the game. yay! Hear that?"Whoa, whoa, now you're gone!" Gah, just Kemp and the manager were tossed. WHOA! What a catch by deGrom!
  15. Murphy 4 fer 4! That was right on the line! Could you imagine on this day (of all days) if TC had to make a similar decision with deGrom? Like if he got up past 110 with a no-no still going? deGrom will get one, I believe that, and more sooner than later. But not tonight.
  16. I agree with the booth. Something is wrong with deGrom. Something's nagging him and he does keep poking at his hip. He's looking to brush it off, whatever it is. Can a pitcher get a massage between innings? Oh, he's up.
  17. It's about freakin' time Ceciliani. Cuddy was hustlin b ig time & scores. And Cecil steals 2nd! & Lags drives him in! 6-0 Mets
  18. Mets waste a one out triple by Lags in the 4th. That was a wicked fastball to Plawecki. OO, nice catch by Cecil.
  19. Oy, Cadaver is D.O.A. both times up tonight.
  20. You hear the way the ball just came off Tejada's bat? Holy schmoly. Murph sends him to third with another hit.
  21. That's Muffy's muff for the day so no more muffs for Muffy tonight.
  22. Great first. 2 runs for us and Hairball K's the side. Niiiiice.
  23. Meh, if it's not a Met it's no fun. I kid, kinda- but the player has to be someone I like and/or respect to get into it. Taylor would make that cut. The threads are not about you. But I understand what you mean. You do it for your enjoyment. I think everyone enjoys these threads. Wow, that B&W pic of Hahn is a rarity. Is Steve Reed a clue? Now I have to go back and look thru all the cards, lol. Did I really get Swisher? I figured the other was either Dave Roberts or Doug Rader, those 2 D.R.'s I always mix up.

Tsk,tsk. Foooooooooooor shame Batmags:I will make a rare exception and do that thing that involves making a Padre card. I'll do it, but my heart won't be in it. It'll be a heartless card.
