During all this ownership did shift and I could follow my team again in what I considered an honorable fashion. When they got Seaver back and went after Keith I was as all in as I ever was. Some people, when they feel passionate about something and they get burned, shut down their emotions completely so that the the subject never has a chance to hurt them again. And some people don't. It's a relative thing, and like Ceetar says, they don't want it back. They have shut themselves off in regards to the Mets.

I loved how Jeff couldn't get it opened. At the time, I said to my brother: Doesn't he hire people to open his bottles for him? When he was handing it off to others (players) to try and open, my thought was, "please, Lord, don't let anyone get injured because Jeffy couldn't open the giant bottle of bubbly." Wow, I said that too. I really did. That was the next thing I said.

This is interesting and concerning. We all saw that shot of him on the bench near the end, all smiles and goggled up for the celebration. But we also saw that shot of him on the bench with the shoulder replayed over and over. Whether he hits or not, we need The BIG C in the lineup. One thing is apparent off the getgo. Him in the lineup, just being there, changed everything.

They will give him an offer? That's good enough for me I hope you remain a Met Murph but I also hope you clean up in the payoff dept. 2 yrs, 25mill. I don't see the Mets going beyond this. And many will say that amount for 2 is crazy. I say if someone wants to pay him more, good for Murph.

I mentioned that sick stomach feeling in WSgm6. Dispite having the events out of order, I did experience that feeling that all was lost at some point, as I did here, when Hatchers homer hit the foul pole (did it? Am I remembering that right?). I mean, we tie it in the ninth and then Hatcher's HR, I really thought it was over. BUT NO! Mets comeback and win it in 16!. Amazin'. 00: I was doing solo music gigs in local bars, and watched and celebrated while I was out and about. I wore my Mets jacket and hat to all the gigs during the postseason. Everyone knew I was a Mets fan and they got behind me cuz they really didn't give a shit who won. Those days were nothing but a good time.
