  1. Lou Niss, the man who told Ray Gotto, "Hey dude, the team won't be wearing pink! Can I see this in orange & blue?"
  2. I also put Dilson in with Reynolds when I say:how & why are these guys not considered good enough in an emergency situation like this? And if forced to pick one I'd more than likely pick Herrera, cause he's shown us so stuff.
  3. And btw, all of you looking for a gut punch. This is a gut punch.
  4. So best case scenario is a repeat of last season with David. Woe is me. I hope we get at least that much, and I really hope he gets another go in The Big Show. For The Captain guyz. FOR THE CAPTAIN!!!

I'd like to see Reynolds get more playing time, a few games in a row (okay, a few more) and see what he can do. Why do they keep shuffling this guy under the rug. They ran Campy out there day after day even though he was clearly not getting it done on any basis. I think he popped one and got one important hit. I think Reynolds could be the answer to a few of our problems. Of course, you guys know what a brown nose I am for Mets players but this is more than me going RA!RA! SIS! BOOM!BAA~! The only part of this vid that applies is when MJ says "SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO!" (girl?-Gah! omit the girl part). ho7796-au8U
  6. That's s some pretty terrific mixed media. You're pretty great at this stuff. It would undermine the intend lefty/righty balance, but you could have probably extracted Aggie from this one: Thank you sir. I don't do much drawing by hand these days and I should do more. All up in graphics and composition. I've become a scavenger artist. Removing Aggie could be done in 3 smudges but there's no way I'm going to get involved in an image that includes those style jerseys. Lets gather up all pictures of those and the block letter NEW YORK ones and burn them. Hey! Maybe that's what the team needs. They've been talking about it but they don't know what to burn! METS: BURN THOSE UNIFORMS! ______________________________________________ I'm afraid there is something wrong with Doc. In every recent pic I've seen he looks worst than that last (tho they were taken in the same week)
  7. I guess we can say we've already witnessed the beginning of the end, last season (or the 2011 back injury may be the real root). But I don't want it to end yet. Please don't let end yet. There is more to David's story. There is a happy ending, hopefully with a ring, but at this point I'll settle for just the happy ending. Catching Strawman would be a nice addition to the story, and the accomplishment would make me very happy. Now it's one step at a time. I want to see him get the HR record. The Wright WalkOff ToppsNOW cards just came today. It caught Wright full smile with his teammates mobbing him. I was so happy when I saw the card earlier. Then I read this and I view it with a tinge of sadness. I don't want David's story to be over yet. If anyone can come back from this it's Wright.
  8. Wow. Gary just said it. Horrible loss. Lost. Sad. Pissed.
  9. The Sox walked 13 today??!! Walks supposed to do detrimental things to your health. Whats goin on here!?!?
  10. Ugh, I hope Kelly was just trying to foul that off. If not, he sucks.

Y'know, I can't remember the last Lagares throw that was even remotely near the target. He actually looked good early on this season. Don't recall details but he made some good throws that made me feel like his elbow problems were behind him. But with that guy on third...you gotta make that throw. He was nowhere near the plate.
  12. Frayed Knot wrote: So an AL reliever without a hit in 7 years manages to do in one AB what no Met has been able to do in like 50 ABs today - get an extra base hit! Please tell me these things happen to all teams, not just our Mets.

  16. Is that Lenny behind the plate? Hey, if you guyz want a guest here, ask Dykstra. I think he'll appear anywhere these days.
  17. If this goes 18 I'll feel like I didn't miss a thing.
  18. I particularly proud of this one because I didn't know I was going to make it until I saw MGIM post this: And right away I knew I had to give Harvey the Frank Miller's Dark Knight treatment. This is an mfc Pocket Poster, the 3rd for Matt Harvey so far. TDK, Loney and Flores cards, and the latest on OPERATION WRIGHT: http://metsfantasycards.blogspot.com/2016/05/mfc-poster-dark-knight-rises-loney.html
  19. The song is classic Edge. Parody? If so lemme know the tune.
  20. I wanted to put these side by side and see how close I got. Darling came out the best. Gooden, I think I gave him too much of a smirk but I like how he came out. I may have opened his eyes a little bit. Ojeda. That looks like Ojeda now, in 2016! Look at those beady eyes.... I scrunched Sid's head a bit. Lil' bit. Bit the brows are PERFECT!
  21. He wasn't gone 3 minutes! I KNOW there's a connection. OMG, inside the parker for some Nat who's not Harper. 5-1
  22. This is all my brothers fault. He left before the game was over. I told him it would be a jinx. Nats up 4-1 in the 9th
  23. Edgy MD wrote: Meantimes, Loney may end up setting the team's putout record in his first game. How about the first ball hit to him goes through him. Ha, I give Mets a sample size b4 I say they suck. That was a very hard play to make though. I'm going to have to replay this later to get a screenshot of that above view with Gary's shiny dome.
  24. Harper took a mean fastball to the knee and it looked bad. If he plays tomorrow I'll be very impressed. I didn't know about the HBP when I saw that baserunning blunder. The plunk may have contributed to his lackadaisical return to first.
  25. Herniated disc in his neck. OE: More about it tomorrow after Dave sees doc. David Wright says it's difficult to turn his head side to side. He's hoping medicine keeps reducing pain. Notes it's team's call on DL.
